Just said on 95.5--Harris being traded to Utah causes Cho to give up.

I prefer nothing to Mo Williams, Aaron Brooks or Jamal Crawford.

I'd still inquire about Ramon Sessions, though, were I Cho.

It's all good. With Dwill leaving the West along with Melo our surroundings are looking much more favorable.

Agree! We are playing great. Why mess that up when other key teams in the west are getting worse.

I think this is the right tact to take with Harris off the table.

I think Quick is talking out of his ass. Why would Cho give any information on his intentions at this point for the public to consume.

We still can't beat any of the squads above us in the standings with the current roster. I still see a 1st round and out.

Well with not much left to trade for, pulling back isn't maybe the worst thing ... but we're going to be right back here next year or over the summer (or whenever the lockout ends) looking down the barrel of the same situation of needing to move aging players and get younger, but we won't have Joel's expiring contract any more (but we will have Greg's ...)

True. Especially to Quick. As I said yesterday, Cho doesnt share info like KP did.

We don't beat anyone either way. I just see this as losing an asset (Przybilla's contract) since Miller can be retained next season. Honestly, who else is out there that we could possibly go for?

Do you want to end up with Jamal Crawford? Really?

After the trade deadline, that asset is worthless outside of lowering the overall salary of the team.

I still wouldnt be surprised to see us deal Joel for a draft pick to get under the luxury tax to save about $8 million.

I'm not averse to a Joel for Biedrins deal if available. Same with Wallace if CHA wants to shed salary. Sessions if CLE is willing to part with him.

Basically, anyone that we could get in exchange for Joel that would strengthen our bench would be worthwhile.

Perhaps because it's true and he wants to get his team back to thinking about playing basketball instead of worrying about being traded?

Do you mean trade Joel and a draft pick?

No team is giving up a pick to eat Joel's contract.

That's why I said it's losing an asset....since we won't be using it....duh.

And who could we get for Przybilla? It's nice to sit here and speculate, but it's not like we know if any of these players are available, and for pure expirings no less.

If we are standing pat, our goal should be at a minimum the #5 seed, and with a good deal of luck we can pass OKC for the #4 seed. Denver and Utah tanking screws us, however, because NO will definitely make the playoffs.

In other news: Camby suddenly feels invigorated and wants to play tonight!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

They may send a pick to have us eat an uglier contract. Joel is an expiring deal.

Our front office sucks

I'm not sure where to point the finger at, but Quick intimated that there are some pretty stark stylistic differences between Cho and Paul Allen ... So yes, in short, our front office does suck -- but mostly because it seems like there isn't enough autonomy for personnel guys to do their job.

You asked "who else is out there that we could possibly go for?" I listed two that have been identified previously as salaries their teams are seeking to shed. Was that just a rhetorical question?

GWallace is the only big name left I'd like to see us take a run at. Although with DWill moving, who the hell knows what might happen?

Our front office sucks

You guys are both smart enough to know that a team isnt going to trade their All Star to a team in their own division.

I didn't realize Deron was even available! I hope Cho did his due diligence and at least gave Utah an offer.

I don't have any complaints against the FO for not making a trade at this point. I wanted the Harris deal to get done, but I understand why it didn't. I like our squad and look forward to the 2nd half of the season. The one thing our FO needs to do better is DRAFT! Their draft this past summer was pathetic.
