Larry Sanders
Omer Asik
Kosta Koufas (believe it or not)
Marc Gasol
Brook Lopez has improved mightily this year...
Andrew Bogut (if he was ever healthy)
We can't go near injury-prone players like Bogut. Too much bad history there. Otherwise, he would be a legit target.
Brook is soo much better than I thought he would be coming off the knee injury. Still, he is basically an offensive player. A very good one, but not what Olshey, and most fans are looking for at Center. He upped his rebounding, and it is still weak. He is not a defender. He is an ok shot blocker this year. If you get Brook, you have to trade LaMarcus. They are basically the same player.
Marc Gasol is great. I think he is a very solid team defender who takes up a lot of space in the paint. He blocks shots. He is a meh rebounder at the center position which is why he didn't make the list. He is a very good offensive player. Being a good two-way center, the price for Gasol would be very, very high. And the Blazers aren't looking for offense. If somehow we could get Gasol, I would be all for it and we could try to work around the rebounding weakness of our new front line. Leonard and the pick for Gasol. Get it done.
Kostas Koufas might be interesting if we could get him on the cheap. His numbers this season look decent. My only concern is he doesn't have a lot of history playing big minutes. I thought that Denver loved him though. Wouldn't be cheap to get.
Omar Asik is a high level rebounder for sure. But he doesn't get the blocks this season now that he has left Chicago. And I am not sure about his defense. If we could somehow pry him from Houston on the cheap, I would take this compromise player.
Larry Sanders is not a Center.
