Did Raymond Felton run over Jason Quick's dog? I know Felton sucks, but the way Quick continues to single him out, and seems intent on running him out of town, seems very unprofessional for a beat writer. I've been wanting a real beat reporter since forever. Because JQ regularly interjects himself and his petty tabloid views into his "reports", players are at the least guarded. Over a decade ago when I used to click the links to his stories, it was sort of funny/pathetic to see how many times he'd refer to himself vs how many player quotes were included. The roster changes, but the new guys know not to talk to him too. It doesn't have to be this way.

Nash will be 39 next year. There is little to no way this team will be able to build a contender overnight, so signing Nash is a huge waste of time

I haven't looked at the article, but I imagine it's the exact same type of "reporting" that Quick did during his love affair with $amon and hate for Sheed all other things Blazers. I hate his melodramatic biased "reporting".

well, there's plenty positive about deron and hibbert. But I just mean in general, you complaining about aguy in one thread, liking him as a target in another and such.

And if we didn't target Deron, you'd likely just complain about our management being in clown town, and thinking small instead of going after someone like Deron. But, if it is likely that they DO target him, you have to have your opposite side down. lottery pick. all star. top 5 at his position. Yeah, terrible idea. Oh, I think we should target Deron, but I also don't think there is a chance in hell he signs here. I just hope Steve Nash isn't the back up plan. Hibbert isn't going anywhere, and Lopez is an injury prone center

He's easily got 2-3 years left, man takes care of himself. The next 2-3 yrs will be LMA's prime and you couldn't ask for a better complement to him than Nash.

We've had about 1.5 seasons of decent point guard play (all from Andre Miller) in the past 12 or so seasons. So when people scoff at Nash "only" being good for 2-3 years, I can't help but wonder, "Yeah, but that's twice as much quality as we've had in a long fucking time."

It's not enough of an upgrade to make them a champion, but depending on how other things shake it at least makes the team watchable. Which is a big upgrade for me.
