Honestly, I'm getting the feeling that y'all are just harassing some dudes are being sarcastic about the whole thing too, thereby making you the fools.

I've had to do a 3 page essay (I know, easy) on the Islamic leaders, and while reading about it, I've found that it makes zero sense to me. And, to be honest, it sounds dumb as hell.

Basically, some guy claims he's receiving messages from God, and everyone just believes it. No proof or anything. Riiiiight.

Oh well, at least the pillars of Islam all have good intentions.

Yea man, I got that impression from the video. Especially at the end where she just sounds like she's fake crying.

I read one thread from there, where these two dudes were pretending that they had used technological breakthrough (basically, they made up words that sounded technical) to get a camera into the pokeworld and take a couple pictures. These were some really obvious photoshopped stuff that was making all these posters worked up. I figured it was a couple dudes having fun screwing around with these nutjobs (like you guys are), but then one of their mods started agreeing with them and kept up the charade with the same made up words. I saw a couple ones like that, where it seemed really obvious that almost everyone was being sarcastic and was in on the joke. I think there's a bunch of dumbass teens and nutjobs on the site who actually believe that stuff or want to, but I think most of them are just laughing their asses off like us.

btw, that Nation of Islam site isn't what you think it is.

religion is based off faith and what you believe, so just because it doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean it's dumb. maybe it's on another level that you can't comprehend?

I've really never found much personal gain from religion. After being raised a Unitarian Universalist (and currently holding those beliefs) I haven't found anything besides what's found in science to give substantial meaning, nor have I needed any form of moral guidance besides what was passed down from my parents.

Still, if there is one religion that I think could offer anything to me (besides the general views of religion I've developed by being UU), I think it's Baha'i. I was talking to a friend of mine about how the concept of spirituality has definitions explained by psychology and religion, and in the conversation I was very impressed that Baha'i included general life values (specifically education) instead of typical credos.

I'm singling out Islam because I had to do an essay on it. And I do realize that this is the same way with nearly every religion.

I wasn't saying there that the concept of a religion is dumb. What's dumb is the fact that people are told something, and don't question it. They just believe what they are told. When you take a step back and look at everything, that's how it is with so many things. And it's pretty ridiculous. (Then again, I guess I was saying the concept of religion is dumb, because that's basically what it is.)

I also do realize that the pillars do have good intentions (and actually pointed that out many times when talking to my friend about it). I realize that Muhammed had some good intentions (whether he was sane or not). I also realize that, with no intention, he created a religion that has turned out a whole shit load of killing (and I do realize that the same can be said about other religions, though). I just did a whole essay on all the deaths resulting from the creation of Islam. And it's just really annoying me.

Damn, it's so hard to type out my thoughts so that they make sense right now. I'm so tired and worn out from a long day. If I didn't make sense with anything in here, please point it out.
