What the hell. You end a day earlier than I do. That's not fair.

For me, I get out like a month earlier than most schools, and it's only for the seniors at my school. Though classes end Wednesday, final exams are to be taken every following Wednesday along with certain ceremonies such as graduation rehearsal and college discussion.

I'm working on my final project for my Computer Graphics class, using Macromedia Director. It's such a bitch.

I have a history and macro/micro econ exams left and im done friday. Then go from NC State to Charlotte for a week then down to the ATL for the summer.

I have to go back to school on Monday. I'm just taking three classes over the summer.

I just got an academic scholarship for $5,000/year from Rutgers. Hot damn.

Nice! That can be compounded with financial aid and other scholarships, right?

Indeed. So pumped right now. And my last day of classes is tomorrow. And I found out I'm exempt from my Spanish final and most likely my English final. Today has been awesome.

Holy crap, congrats. I hope I get that lucky.

Had to decline $81,000 in scholarships/gift aid from University of Texas. Turning down large sums of money is never fun X / Does anyone know hwo to decline the admissions offer for Madison? Can't figure it out, their online system is crap.

Whats with these idiots trying to push alcohol down an alcoholics throat when he told them he's an alcoholic and doesn't want to drink on RW.

ugh i hate liking a girl but not caring at the same time lawl, its annoying

Fuck man, I feel like I just started high school. Next year I have to go apply and I'm trying to work my ass off, but it's so fucking hard. Like I'll never be getting those scholarships like you guys, and every time I read that, it hits me. Like, what the fuck have I done so far? Basically nothing in all honesty. I can't say I didn't enjoy high school, but if I could restart from grade 9, I would do it in a heart beat. But congrats to you guys and I hope you have a great college/university life. You guys I know worked your asses off to get to where you are. Hopefully I'll come remotely close to that one day.

Shake, if you're not where you wanted to be, go to some community college and then transfer to some super fancy university after two years.

That's what a lot of people I know have done. Don't be so sad.

What's the point of working so hard in high school when you can just go to a community college for 2 years and then still be able to transfer into a great univeristy? That's what I'm starting to think about recently. I've just been getting swarmed with so much work lately

You could do what I did: work hard in high school, get a scholarship to a community college to go there for free, and then transfer after 2 years.

Saved me a shit load of money.

Instead of going to a community college, you can get into some colleges through kind of a loop hole. Mostly in engineer heavy schools like NC State and Clemson, most have agriculture schools that the min requirement is a 2.0 and some dont even have to take an SAT. Then get a good GPA and transfer out of the agriculture program into whatever you want to do.

One of my dads friends sons did that in Clemson, got rejected initially then transfered to the Agriculture program then to a pre-med to get in and ended up going to medical school.
