RANGERS-CAPS GAME 6- SERIES TIED AFTER TONIGHT

I agree Mess. I expect that to be a tight low scoring game again. 1st goal is big strud. If we get it then I could see the Caps start to get a little off their game. If they score 1st though that is going to be a war.

We better be careful in game 7. The Caps played their best game tonight as crazy as it sounds. Now everyone is going to pick the Rangers to win game 7. All will be against the Caps. When an animal is cornered and wounded they are dangerous. Game 7 is no lock for us. We are the favs, but that game is no lock.

The fact that the Caps ended strong will give them some MO into game 7 IMO.

That's what they're going to tell themselves, Rangers better have other plans

I don't complain about refs. Didn't in the SCF last year either.

In hindsight I agree with 31 that it helped us. It all worked out well.

caps shot their load tonight knowing they had to win. They are not getting the calls they got tonight at the garden. That phantom over the fucking glass phantom call if the caps had cashed in would have been a bad black eye for the nhl. Whoever was the one who said it definitively went over the boards in that critical situation should be told your suspended till next season. That was awful. The fucking 4 blind refs and not one of them had the guts to say it hit the glass first. I am so pissed about that call even though we managed to overcome it. Hopefully McD will be alright

You hope the Rangers are in their heads. I admit I never thought this series would get back to the Garden for a game 7. Have to be proud of this team.

I just felt there was to much history between these two teams for it not go 7

I like the two days off for a couple of reasons. First, I think the Rangers can use the extra rest. Second, it lets things rattle around in Washington's head for an extra day. It's huge to go from playing two games in which you're looking to eliminate somebody to all of a sudden you're playing in an elimination game.

7:30 Wednesday night at MSG. Excited already. Wish the game was Tuesday night. Not sure which team benefits from the extra day off, or if either team does.

so are we still trading Rick Nash in the offseason?

It's not a realistic notion anyway to be completely honest. You're not going to dump a salary like that and also get fair value in return. You're taking a huge step backwards in making a move like that which this team isn't in position to do.

I tend to agree with you that it is better for us, if there is even an edge Mess. Maybe it could also give the Caps an extra day to mentally clear their heads, and hear some more how EVERYONE will pick the Rangers, which I don't like.

Seriously, when the f are the refs going to start calling Ward for goalie interference. He does it all game. That's where you need a McIlrath to cross check his neck into the ice and then beat the shit out of him.

I'd like to see that, really I would. Ward plays close to Hank, gets touched and then falls all over him like he was pushed into him. Needs to be 2 minutes

I just like the idea of a speed team like the Rangers having an extra day to rest their legs.

I agree Mess. I think it favors us by a little, but honestly I don't think it matters that much either way.

Can you guys enjoy the win and stop bitching about the refs. For the love of god...:).

My hope is that the Rangers win game seven and the interference call on Ward that disallowed what would've been a series clinching goal will be all the revenge that's needed.

On Wednesday, I don't think their will be to many calls at the Garden

oh right, the conspiracy. Forgot about that.

The extra day always benefits the team who has tied the 3-1 series. Even more so given the Caps brutal history of blowing series leads and Ovechkin never seeing the ECF

wednesday hanks goes 10-0 in home elimination games and rangers first team in nhl history to come from 3-1 deficits in back to back years

Wow that place got insanely loud. My nerves are shot but it should be a good 4hrs back.

To me the biggest call of the series, BY FAR, was the disallowed goal on Ward's interference in game 5. I think it was a coin flip call, and it went in our favor. So stop bitching...LOL.

Give the Rangers credit in regards to Ovechkin. They're not giving him the room he was getting in the first couple of game. Now he's getting frustrated and pressing.

I do agree Dis. And I think we'll win game 7, but I won't love 3 days of everyone saying Caps done, Caps choked again, Rangers moving on. I won't like that as the Caps listen for 3 days. Plus the Caps played their best game tonight, and were great late...32-0 shot attempts in the last 15 minutes tonight. Some of that could carry over.

yup, he was CLEARLY pushed into Hank by a Ranger (McD i think). I said it then and will say it now, that was the biggest call of the series.

Disagree Chuck. The biggest call was the non pen w 1 sec left G1. Ward was a pen on Hank. The problem is it doesn't seem like we ever get that call. He mad contact w Lundqvist twice and his stick wasn't even on ice. It was a penalty no question. But agree it was a huge call
