Looking at the players available, Gauthier and DeAngelo stand out. Goodrow is a UFA. I think he can be exempt.

Are we looking at a 4th line of Goodrow-Richards-Rooney or Goodrow-Barron-Rooney?

Still would love to add a Reeves or Lucic for 2 years to protect the young guys.

Goodrow is not exempt. Seattle can select him and then they would get the exclusive negotiating rights until the 28th. Doubtful they do that though. All signs point towards Gauthier being the guy Seattle takes. No huge loss IMO.

There is a chance Seattle takes Goodrow . They have to meet the cap floor this season and will sign some guys to decent sized contracts

I think it's the same case as Cizikas. He's an UFA. So, they can pick him but if they don't sign then they get nothing. So, the odds of them doing that are probably zero. I was hoping they would still take Cizikas but they won't.
