I never really got to know Sheed. He hated the media so much taht he was just flat out rude to all of them. One night I told him "good game" and he ignored me.

Here is the full interview. I set the link to jump past the first 20 mins before they bring Sheed out.

IT'S F'ING AWESOME! Great stories. He even tells the full Yellow Hummer story.

10/10 GuaranSheed Must Listen!

Got a headband from Sheed once. Was so sweaty it melted the paper head on a stick I was carrying it with: into the garbage.

I didn't like his antics in general, and I thought he was a shitty teammate to Sabonis. Talks shit about Walton.

He was a spoiled baby.

Fuck Sheed.

Don't care what anyone says, I like Sheed. Still have the lunch box on display.
It's like what someone said about Barkley: "Most people are assholes who want you to think they're nice. Charles is a nice guy who wants you to think he's an asshole".

Nowadays Sheed would get called "neurodivergent".

Watched some of full interview and will watch rest on TV. Sheed has the rare ability to laugh at himself.

BTW didn't know his marriage ended. I imagine being married to him could be trying.

Fun to listen to the full interview. Sounds like a funny and cool guy.

But sill think he's one of the most overrated players by portland fans.

Sheed doing color commentary for our broadcasts would be fucking awesome. The stories along with real understanding of the game.

Remember how fans would bitch about him taking 3s like he was wasting his talent? Sheed was an excellent player while a Trailblazer. Team oriented and efficient on offense and a versatile solid defender. But there were always better Bigs and players in general during his era. Even at his peak I never thought he was a top 10 talent in the league. Some fans talked about him as if he had that sort of potential, but I never really saw that. I grew up in Winston-Salem rooting for Wake Forest. I remember Sheed coming to UNC being the country's #1 rated recruit and then watching him getting his ass handed to him by the least hyped Freshman in Wake's 4 man class. Sheed was really really good but that 17 year old unknown from the Virgin Islands was clearly a level above.

So warts and all I viewed him as very very good... basically the borderline AS that he was. In the 20+ years since Wallace was a PTB only LaMarcus approached his level of impact as a forward though Deni is coming

in his era his face up jumper was on par with Duncan. He was an elite PF for his time.

Absolutely no respect for Sheed. Even in this video talks about the stupid Techs he got with absolutely no remorse for letting his teammates down over and over again because he was a hot head that had no respect for anyone on the court.
Even with age he's still a loser that can't wrap his head around the team concept of the game. Literally cost the Blazers a championship because he couldn't play a team game.

Agree 100%. Only time he came close to learning his lesson was the 6-12 months after the Blazers traded him and Hawks repackaged him immediately. And he won a championship.

Imagine if he'd been that serious his whole career.

I put a lot of that on Dunleavy. Dean Smith and Larry Brown didn't have those problems with Sheed.

It's sad because he actually had a few decent seasons with the Pistons. Still was a Tech master but with Larry Brown he was under control. Flip couldn't keep him on the court.
