I'm too lazy to look up the old thread, so I'll go through all the work of starting a new thread!

Finally saw Sweeney Tood last night, I thought it was brilliant. Depp's singing wasn't perfect, but I thought it was good enough to carry him through the movie. Some of the murder scenes were amazing, especially the Judge's.

7/10

Very good movie, good writing and fine acting. Not one action scene but it does not need any.

i thought sweeney todd was pretty gay. last movie i saw too

I saw Bucket List this past Sunday. It was decent. It took forever to develop & could have been funnier IMO

Jack N is hysterical. JN was almost in Bucket List as good as his performance in As good as it gets. Morgan Freeman is a great sidekick.

I recommend it

Cloverfield - 9/10

I thought the movie was brilliant. Once it got going, it never stopped. By far one of the most intense movies I've ever seen, with the main highlight being the subway scene.

Sweeney Todd - 8.5/10

Gotta go with Mamba here. I thought it was a solid movie and was shocked by Depp's singing ability.

Juno 8.8/10

I'm weird, I thought it was a really good movie. I'm not sure why, either. Corncob pipes are awesome.

I'm about to watch Cloverfield tonight. I'll see if it lives up to the lame hype.

3/10

They really shit on the original Predator and Alien movies. This was even worse than AVP.

Tomorrow, I'll probably watch the 1979 Alien. You can't beat the originals.

^I really enjoyed it. Not ass good as the Single franchises but a good Larf none the less.^

Pride

its a lil to hokey for me, but im glad I watched it.

I watched Sweeney Todd a week ago. Found it very enjoyable. Helena Bonham Carter's hot.

9/10

I would **** the crap outta Helena Bonham Carter...

street-fighter-capcom-movie.jpg

It was on the other night. I really used to like the film as i was hooked on the games but seeing it again made me see just how cheesy it was.

but still a good movie none the less a good film

9.5/10

Great film. I was practically glued to the screen throughout the whole movie. The whole handheld camera idea just made the movie feel so realistic, at least to me. I felt like I was actually there. The ending was pretty lame, I'll admit, but other than that, it was a joy.

Possibly a sequel?

QUOTE

The producers have discussed the possibility of a sequel, or rather a retelling of the movie's premise, noting that there were probably many other movies being shot that night. Abrams pointed out, for example, that somebody is filming next to Hud during the bridge scene and that this moment would provide a natural point for the two movies to cross over. But they say they don't intend to release a film purely on the success of the first--a sequel would have to be in the "spirit" of the original.

There are many other possible sources of footage of the "Cloverfield" incident. Most of the soldiers in the movie have video cameras mounted on their helmets (as in real life), and there is extensive TV news coverage of the monster.

There's also the possibility of a prequel. The backstory for this film is only available on the internet.

The Mist: +5 for having a cool ending, +5 for that cool guy who shot the lady with the milk, and -4.6 for the rest of the movie sucking, and the black guys being racist.

I always think of her as the dirty ass tweaker chick from Fight Club. Doesn't get it done for me.

jizz/10

Matt Damon is on my list of guys I'd go gay for (no homo?).

SpiderMan 3: 5 (or 5.5)/10

Man it was messed up. I'll try to elaborate more later.

No need to elaborate, it just fuckin' blow'd.

The Good Shepard - 7/10

A really interesting movie that takes you behind the scenes behind the bay of pigs (at least according to hollywood's interpretations). Unfortunately the movie isn't in chronological order, leaving the viewer trying to sift through the time line in addition to the CIA's red-tape. Matt Damon gives a good performance in the sense that he makes Edward Wilson believable as a stone-faced emotionless CIA leader who has to balance his personal life with his profession. The movie gets an "incomplete" for the first viewing, but after you piece everything together, it gets up to a 7/10 by the 3rd viewing.

edit: You people that think that Helena Bonham Carter is hot are crazy.

Something about her turns me on. I'd def. titty **** her.

Good Luck Chuck:

And it was terrible. When thinking of watching an R-Rated comedy, I think of Knocked Up and SuperBad. I thought Good Luck Chuck would be something similar, but turns out it sucked. It's only fun if you're a 13-year old kid.

3/5

Ocean's Thirteen: 8/10

I was pleasantly surprised. The second one was so pointlessly confusing and it dragged forever. This one was tightly constructed, the characters all served a purpose and played their parts well, and Al Pacino created a genuinely hated antagonist. The score was pretty cool as well. If I hadn't seen two movies already with a similar premise, this would've been a 10.

Helena Bonham Carter is hot.

Juno - 8/10

Was pleasantly surprised by this movie, didn't think it was going to be nearly as funny as it was.

Thank You For Smoking - 8.5/10

Watched this for the first time in a while the other night. I love this movie, easily one of the funniest movies I'd seen in a good long while when it first came out, and still one of my favorite comedies to date.

Saw IV - POS/10

That movie was so bad, I'm not even giving it a rating. It doesn't deserve it, and was a waste of my time.

I recently watched the Indiana Jones trio of movies, and even though I've seen em before, I give em 9.5/10 still. The 2nd one was the only one that slightly disappointed, as IMO it was not as good as the other 2.

Has anyone seen National Treasure 2? I'm interested in seeing it.

Rambo 3/10

It was just as bad as I expected it to be, and I am quite disappointed. The ending was terrible. The bow and arrow part was awesome, though. +3 for that.

The second Indiana Jones is a loose remake of Gunga Din, which is the greatest adventure movie ever made--definitely go rent it.

Ah, I see. I noticed it went away from the..formula(?) of the other 2.

I'm "renting" it right now.

You get to see why Cary Grant became one of the top five stars, ever . . .

Some Bollywood POS:
Infinity/10. The subtitles were great. All the Ls and Is were replaced with Bs. Best line from the subtitles:
"Do you reabby thibk that woubb make me an hero"

Had me rolling.

King Kong - 9/10

Watched this on TNT for the first time in a long time last night. Awesome movie and still has some of the best special effects I've ever seen.
