Has anyone here seen both Clash of the Titans and Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief?

The only main difference is Clash of the Titans is filmed with darker (grey) lighting. Both main characters are Percius (Percy) and they both have to fight to stop Hades from taking over..

I saw them both, and maybe it was the mood I was in, but I really liked The Lightning Thief a lot more.

I saw Shrek 4 yesterday with my kids.

There were some funny parts, and it was a good movie, but not as good as the others IMO.

I rewatched Can't Hardly Wait the other night with my daughter and her friends, and found myself laughing hard at several parts. I recomend some quality down time with that movie. Absolute brainless comedy entertainment at it's finest.

So did I. It at least had some comedy in it. And in Clash of the Titans it was stupid how he didn't want to use any special powers..

Westworld 7/10. Way less creepy and scary than it was when I was a kid, lol...

I wanted to watch some brainless eye candy so I rented 2010. What a piece of shit movie that was.

2/10

Totally  Yul Brynner scared the shit out of me as a child.

Invictus 0/10. Waste of my time. One of the most boring movies I have ever had the misfortune of watching.

Has anyone seen The Road? Looks interesting. I'm renting it for tonight.

Great movie. 8.5/10.

Really heartbreaking look at whats to happen after the downfall of mankind. Viggo and the kid were awesome.

Absolutely. The kid looks like a young KingSpeed.

Apparently The Road is not nearly as gutwrenching as the book, according to some people who read it and saw it. I've been meaning to see it but first I'll require someone tell me whether there is excessive goreyness in it.

There is not. There is one scene I recall that gave me the creeps a bit, but other than that it is really just tension and a hopeless feeling throughout.

It's the only zombie movie I've seen where they don't eat brains.

MrSelfDestruct, thank you.

Sly I will fucking punch your face because zombies scare the shit out of me. GOD DAMNIT.

I loved Jenna Elfman's cameo in that movie.

8/10..entertaining documentary. This guy predicted the financial collapse and has predicted a lot worse in the coming years.

Shutter Island

I absolutely loved it. Probably my favorite of the year thus far - 9/10

Absolutely loved it? Interesting. I'll give the movie this much - my wife and I talked about it for a good hour after it was over. And that's rare for a movie these days. But I certainly didn't "love" it. It was interesting, and forced the viewer to figure out "what happened." That's always fun.

7/10, IMHO

Loved it in that, it was a thought provoking, creative movie. Not in a way that I feel happy and fuzzy.

It also made me look forward to a second viewing, which very rarely happens.

I'm totally with you. I thought the movie was fucking brilliant for the same reasons and after seeing it in the theater I wanted to watch it again immediately. Seemed like a lot of people didn't like it all that much because it wasn't that thrilling and the twist was somewhat predictable. I LOVED it just based on how much it makes you think, the cinematography, the dialog. It was all there for a reason and I could literally analyze and think about it and theorize for days.

I liked it, the cinematography was very cool too.

Holy crap. I just finished watching Big Fan and, in a moment of shock, shame, and despair, I have now begun the introspective process of reevaluating my life.

It wasn't a GREAT film by any stretch but I really liked it. Certain parts of it made you cringe huh?

Some, "Oh god that's me" moments.
