Drummond is 14/14 with a 20.9 PER.
Greg Monroe has a 21.2 PER

Are you basing your entire opinion on his averages or have you spent much time watching him?
No, Ive seen him a few times. He's a pretty decent player. Leading rebounders in the league who make the all star team and 3rd team all NBA usually aren't classified as "just not that good"

Meyers Leonard is just not that good

People tend to over exaggerate in their assessment of players. I will say that most of the Pistons fans I have seen are not very high on him. I think it's mostly about effort.

That gets me thinking....

Was it he on Lamb, or Lamb on him that questioned effort during that draft?

So does him averaging 2-4 ppg less than you think he should average make him "just not that good"?

On the contrary, I think Drummoned is a fine basketball player.
However I find him highly overrated. His rebound numbers are inflated due to his lack of desire to play defense. Reminds me of Kevin Love in Minn.
His shooting % is horrible for someone whos majority of attempts are inside of 10 ft.
The capper I think, is Drummoned is supposed to be an elite defensive Center. However Mason Plumlee had more blocked shots last year... In about 300 less minutes as well.

Stupid Trade-o-da-day:
If Crabbe waives his trade kicker....

Crabbe ($18.5, 19.3, 18.5)
for
Bazemore ($16.9, 18.1, 19.3)
straight up.

Blazers get a 3 and D starter right away.
A rebuilding Hawks team replaces a 28 yo starter with a 25 yo replacement.
Crabbe waives kicker in order to start, something he'll never do in PDX.

I was looking at Bazemore.... his numbers are unimpressive.

So, we should trade Crabbe for someone with impressive numbers? Bazemore is a much better defensive player than Crabbe, at least by reputation.
He is a better defender then Crabbe but he isn't an amazing defender. Crabbe has upside while Bazemore is pretty much what he is and his 3p is merely okay.

We should get Tyson Chandler. I think there's a match there. Meyers has familiarity with both Earl Watson and Jay Triano. Phoenix is going young. We could use a proven backup behind Nurkic. A Leonard Meyers swap might not save us money (although chandlers contract is up before Leonards) but it does make us better. Phoenix gets a younger project. We add a second or two if need be.

I'm not a Biebs fan at all, but I think his value is higher than Chandler's. Biebs is much younger and paid less. Besides, I think backup C is spoken for.

I like it, but I'd like it more if we could drop Ed too, as with Tyson he'd be pretty redundant. Kind of doubt Phoenix would want both of those guys though.

Would love if we could pull off something like this:

Crabbe to Brooklyn
Dudley and Chandler to Portland
Booker and Leonard to Phoenix

Brooklyn gets Crabbe as a piece for Booker, Phoenix gets younger and comes out revenue neutral (add a year on Leonard subtract a year on Booker), we get out of 2 bad contracts and take two shorter ones, trim $7M in the current year, and get some vet help.

After having a horrid start to his career Emmanuel Mudiay seems to have fallen out of favor. He was shopped during the draft and now the Nuggets are after George Hill.

How bad is his start? His (2015-16) -2.1 WS is tied for 5th worst .....in NBA history.

He's a worthy project IMO -- if you're patient. His value is rock bottom right now. With a glut of bigs - Vonleh would be in my package to Denver. At 6'5" 220 -- maybe moving him from PG to a SG/SF would revive his game.

Hibbert.
Parsons.
Kanter.
Turner.
Leonard.
Crabbe.

Maybe it's a good thing Neil doesn't have the cap room to play around with - PJ Tucker would be a Blazer ......on a max deal.
Don't forget Hawes!
And I swear there's another bad prime target that's missing...

I don't see any reason to bring in older guys like Chandler and Dudley; they have value only to teams needing one more piece to make them championship contenders. On our team they would just take playing time away from young guys who need it.

If we're offloading Butters...
