What does Livingston as a backup PG offer that Turner didnt when he was here? No thank you.
one made 18 mil and one would make the minimum What does Livingston as a backup PG offer that Turner didnt when he was here? No thank you.
It's a backup PG who can not shoot at all. And turner was a better creator at the point than him. He's a big PG who is essentially good for a few post ups a game due to size, but doesnt create well, defense is meh, and cant shoot. Woohooone made 18 mil and one would make the minimum ![]()

For his career, he's fairly comparable to turner mid range, 10 feet to 3. Dont see the excitement. Can’t shoot? What? He has one of the more efficient mid range jumpers in the NBA. So what if he doesn’t shoot threes? He knows his limitations and is a champion. He also has the size to play next to Dame and CJ. He would be an amazing addition for the minimum. Contenders will be lining up for him.
just went back to ORL, 2 yrs- 6 mil.637 in those last 20 games. But as someone else mentioned, a RFA.
Its funny how overrated Livingston has been just because he plays for the Warriors. -2.8 RPM, 78th out of 99 PGs last year. Doesnt do antything particularly well.I agree...I'd much rather the Blazers add Livingston than Jeremy Lin or any of the other available PG's
You're not signing him to play him, you're signing him to add valuable experience to the locker room. Its funny how overrated Livingston has been just because he plays for the Warriors. -2.8 RPM, 78th out of 99 PGs last year. Doesnt do antything particularly well.

I dont think his experience is all that valuable. We have a good locker room and a well-led team. Not sure what his experience would provide. You're not signing him to play him, you're signing him to add valuable experience to the locker room.
That's your opinion. We have seen time and again how important championship experience is.I dont think his experience is all that valuable. We have a good locker room and a well-led team. Not sure what his experience would provide.
+1
Whoever paid for his contract these past few years has been a subject for ridicule, yet the Blazers need to pay for his new contract because he was OK during a his last months of a contract year?
This is a bit too familiar for my liking.
He plays at a position where we are loaded. Really starting to talk myself into Ryan Anderson instead. Am I way off here?korver clears waivers today.

Why not both?He plays at a position where we are loaded. Really starting to talk myself into Ryan Anderson instead. Am I way off here?
I like keeping a roster spot open. And two minimums would only increase our repeater tax bills. But sure, why not? Already have the highest payroll in the league. SJAM?Why not both?
They could just waive one of their vet minimum guys if a roster spot was needed. Anderson's contract could be non-guaranteed until January 10th as well. He might have to take a deal like that unlike Korver who will have his pick of teams.I like keeping a roster spot open. And two minimums would only increase our repeater tax bills. But sure, why not? I think the weirdest thing for me is that we now no longer possess what I consider to be "bad contracts."We’re already down Nurkic, I’d be surprised if they went into the season with anything but a 15 man roster. Clearing roster spots won’t be a big issue either as Portland will be loaded with expirings, both big and small. As for the tax bill? Let the person signing the checks worry about it.
Just move Hezonja over there--good to go!Dame/ Simons
CJ / Baze / Trent
Hood / Hezonja / Korver/ Little
Collins / Anderson / Tolliver
Whiteside / Skal
with Nurk in waiting.
That PG spot looks empty.
