I don't think he was ever in Neil's dreams though. The Diallo dream is dead
Who you talking to??
Noah also probably overachieved more last season and is probably due for some decline due to age.BTW, Faried was used as a center last year, but Noah rebounds a little better, blocks shots quite a bit better and has four times as many assists per 36. And Noah has a DBPM of 3.6 while Faried's is negative.
Good to Know. Not that anyone is wondering, but Bender has left the NBA for Russia.
Maybe the team has more confidence in Mario than expected?
some old guys just keep on keeping on.Noah also probably overachieved more last season and is probably due for some decline due to age.
some old guys just keep on keeping on.
He didnt keep on though, he greatly improved. Maybe it was because he was finally healthy but also, hes never healthy.some old guys just keep on keeping on.
Tolliver provides professionalismWe jumped the gun on Tolliver, there’s like 10 other players I’d rather have for the min.
Exactly, and shooting.Tolliver provides professionalism
I'm inclined to agree, but his 3pt% is damn good. Not sure there are better shooters available. We jumped the gun on Tolliver, there’s like 10 other players I’d rather have for the min.
I played competitive (rec) soccer into my 50's and people who knew me said I was much better at 50 than at 25.He didnt keep on though, he greatly inproved. Maybe it was because he was finally healthy but alos, hes never healthy.

So do a lot if other vet players. Thats not enough to decide to go with himTolliver provides professionalism
How about his great 3 pt %So do a lot if other vet players. Thats not enough to decide to go with him
Olshey apparently does. I'd be surprised if Stotts agrees any time soon. Olshey had a lot of confidence in Meyers too, for 5 or 6 years, and even talked about Meyers as a PF
right now, what is the PF rotation chart?
Zach
Tolliver?
Hezonja?
Skal?
that looks pretty damn weak to me; and what happens if Zach gets injured?
How about his great 3 pt %
3ptFG%: Jerebko .367....Tolliver .377
Bottom line is that it's reasonable to question if Tolliver was the best Portland could do, especially when they pulled the trigger so early during the moratorium. Might end up similar to 'signing' Stauskas so early last summer when there were a bunch of better free agents available
No doubt Neil believes in "the bird in the hand" approach early on to assure he at least gets someone at a position of need.
