There is literally nowhere aside from K*be v. CJ where there is even a shot that the L*kers starters are as good as our starters this year. And they won 21 games. How do you expect we'll win less?

For all of you saying we're going to be "20 wins" bad, last year MIN and the L*kers were the only teams in the West to win less than 29 games. Even the worst Blazers team of my lifetime won 27 games, and that's with KP legitimately trying to tank the last 1/3 of the season.

We aren't the worst starters in the west, and we're damn sure not the worst roster in the West, much less in the East...we may end up with a lotto pick, but it'll be the 9-14 variety (barring insane luck) rather than the 4-9 variety. And that's ok with me.

The 2005-06 Blazers won just 21 games. You must be much younger than you seem. That team finished even worse, losing 28 of their last 31 games, than the KP coached team the previous season.

Hill may be better than Plumlee, but none of the stats say that. Plumlee's younger, plays better D, higher PER, higher Reb%, higher shooting %'s, everything except FT%. He sucks there. But even if I said Hill was better, are you forgetting about Tariq Black and Robert Sacre starting 45 games?

I'm also interested in why you think Wes Johnson is on the same level as Aminu. By almost any measure, Wes completely sucks and Aminu's better at everything on offense, rebounding, and everything on defense. Edit: Sorry, not everything on offense. Wesley's a better 3pt shooter. 35%-27%.

Please, for the love of God (and this forum), once in a while back up your opinions with substance... or try. It will help so much more in the understanding of your posts. Hill has nothing short of a complete disappointment. That's why they let him go.

Johnson was alright, but he was hardly something to compare to Aminu with.

Jeez, it's pretty sad when our debates are not over whether the Blazers will suck or not, but rather the order of magnitude that they're going to suck by. I figure they're going to lose at least half of their games. That's a sufficient measure of suckitude for me at this point.

Whooaaa.. . stop the train. IF we lose half our games, that means we win half our games. That's not a success this next year to you? I think about 99% of us would consider that way better than expected and would consider that a huge win of a season considering.

Really digging the rebuilding roster Neil has put together.

25 and under, we have Dame (25), Leonard (23), CJ (23) as our big 3 prospects, with Plums (25) and Aminu (24) projecting as likely starters. Vonleh (19) and Harkless (22) as the high potential guys, and Crabbe (23) as an emerging role player. Then we have three extremely long shot prospects in Frazier (24), Patty (22), and Montero (22), who may or may not find second contracts.

Henderson is our oldest player at 27. Ed Davis follows him at 26. Both can probably start on half the teams in the league now and have likely plateaued in terms of their development.

I don't think we will be nearly as bad has been made out nationally. Even if a couple of our prospects reach their potential, we will be set up really well over the next few years. Key here is getting ample PT for the deserving youngins, lots of focus on player development behind the scenes, and nailing this next lotto pick. I think we win about 35-40 next season, get one more lotto pick, and a younger FA, and we're back in the mix in 2017 in the playoffs/

Fair enough...I started out responding to the "worst starters in the West" thing and gradually got different targets (like 20 wins). I've said before that I could see this team much like the 2007-8 team that ripped off the 13-game Christmas Streak and ended up 41-41. But if you told me 27 wins, I'd probably call that the floor.

We'll see in April.
