Richard Jefferson says he thinks LeBron is coming to PDX

LeBron will probably force his way to HOU so he can play with CP3.

Which means Eric Gordon could be a salary cap casualty (like he was when NOP traded CP3 to LAC). Unfortunately, his salary just went up from $12,943,020 to $13,500,375, which means he now makes too much to fit under the Crabbe TPE ($12,969,502 + $100,000).
Hasn't gone up yet--doesn't increase until 7/1. If Houston thinks they have a legit shot at Lebron, Olshey can take EG off their hands at any point this month.

What does that mean when he says "I really think Portland is trying to so some things to move their entire roster."? And why did Portland have a bunch of minor free agents (G-league guys) in for a workout yesterday and apparently planning on bringing more in?

I believe at this age, money isn't the determining factor for where 'Bron goes. He makes twice or more off his NIKE deal than he does from basketball. So I think he would choose the best situation for him and winning, above the most money.

Wouldn't that require Cleveland to participate in a S&T where they take on both Anderson's and Gordon's contracts? Can't imagine that they'd do that.

Not necessarily. LeBron has a player option. So, he can opt out and sign wherever he wants for whatever he wants. Just keep in mind, if he opts out he's leaving $35 million on the table for next season. So, I doubt if he's signing for the vert min just to end up where he wants to be. HOU would need to clear enough cap space to give him what he wants.

Last summer they unsuccessfully tried to dump Ryan Anderson on a 3rd team so they could get Melo. If LeBron wants to play in HOU, they will again be looking for a taker for Anderson's contract. The differences being, he now only has two years left n his contract, and HOU would be much more willing to sweeten the pot (future draft picks) for LeBron than they were for Carmelo.

LeBron's player option gives him quite bit of flexibility when it comes time to start his off season maneuvering. He can opt in, if a trade can be worked out or he can opt out and become the most sought after unrestricted free agent in the history of the world. He holds all the cards.

I also mentioned Gordon for the TPE as that would instantly give them $13 million in cap relief.

But hey, Ryan Anderson will likely be available (again) to anyone (no one) who wants him!!!!

I don't bet money but I'd bet 100 pushups that he doesn't go to Houston.

If he leaves Cleveland, Ill take that bet that he goes to Houston. I get to do girly push ups if I lose though . My arms are long.

Crazy guess.

LeBron ends up in Texas..........but.........as a Spur.

Lebron signs and is traded to the Spurs centered around Leonard sign and trade to Cavs and draft pick/s.

Is that a legal trade?

Bron don't wanna play with that softy! Lol.

Didn't CP3 say he would only accept a max deal?

That would make things difficult for Houston.

Houston should let CP3 go. Too old, too injury prone. This was their year and it didn't work out.

That would be a terrible PR move though. He turned down a supermax from Clippers to go there.

He's also LeBron's friend. If they treat him like this, there's no way LeBron is joining them.

I could see both of them taking one year, $20M or so deals to win the championship with Houston though. They'd still need to find a way to get rid of Anderson though.

If I'm Olshey I'm taking this very seriously. Olshey needs to clear some space. If we got Bron it would the biggest get sinse thr Blazers landed Scottie Pippen.
Bigger than Pippen. It would be more like Walton.

Didn’t he say he wouldn’t sign for less than the max available anymore (a couple year ago). I thought he did, but maybe I’m wrong.

DOOMSDAY SCENARIO!!!!

GSW lets Klay walk at the end of the season. They slide KD to shooting guard and have LBJ sign for the league min for a three year contract and they win three more rings with him.

I will boycott the NBA....

Stephen A said that they will have the conversation in the offseason, but he doesn’t think it’ll happen

I rate it HOU, then PHI then CLE (and only those 3 he seriously considers). I don't think HOU can pull off the sign and trade though. CLE is not going to want that garbage.
