Taking another family road trip. We are headed to La Push/Forks, WA.
I love photography and the beach there is absolutely stunning. Always wanted to see it for myself. So when I found out they filmed a lot of the My daughter’s favorite movies, the Twilight series there, I thought, what better time then now. Staying in these little cheap cabins and just wandering around. Going to stay in Port Angeles on the way home.
Would love for any recommendations or ideas if you guys have been up there. Can’t wait to see the beaches.

Are you camping out or staying in hotels? We are driving to down to L.A. this summer to see family, and then over to Vegas, Grand Canyon, Zion, and back here. Not exactly sure where to stay.

Quite some time ago I went to look at an old Alfa Romeo giulia super at the airport village they have there, maybe at sequim? An old guy had the car painted to match his Mooney light plane. Amusing

This is really unrelated - but this made try to figure out if I could find some images of that Alfa, I did not find in my archives - but found out the ad about selling it on BaT here:

I believe this ad was after I have seen it, I did not buy it because it had more rust than I was willing to take on, but I remember the owner being a plane mechanic and he had a well documented stack of documents with just about anything that was done tot that car since he got it 30+ years earlier.

I believe the Harry Potter car was a Ford Anglia - the Alfa looks very old fashioned, but it was actually the first mass produced car ever designed in an air-tunnel and had an amazing Cd of 0.33 - which is still respectable today.

There are certainly some things that resemble each other - but you will see that the Alfa's roof does not taper the way the Anglia's does - in the Anglia it was done for "fashion", the Alfa did it for aerodynamic purposes. Of course, the Anglia was a very old fashioned car, pushrod engine, drum brakes all around and a 3 speed transmission. The Alfa has an overhead twin cam engine (pretty much every modern engine still uses that), 5 speeds and disc brakes all around.

The Alfa is considered by many to be the first mass-produced sport-sedan (about 3 years before the BMW 1600-2 that we know as the 2002.

They do a little bit look alike, but not really if you see them in person.
