Vincent Goodwill: Hearing definite interest in FA guard Rodney Stuckey, particularly from high-level teams. I'd never rule out a return to the Pacific NW Twitter @vgoodwill

I think would be an upgrade over Mo and only 28.. Solid defender and can defend multiple positions... However, not sure I would use full mid level on him...

Rodney stuckey definitely is not he backup pg you want if you are going to win a championship. He hasn't proven anything on a big stage.
You better believe the FO is going to bring in some one with playoff experience.

He isn't a point guard. He's a scoring combo guard. I'm on board. He's still youngish and I think he would bring immediate scoring to our bench.

He played a lot of the point for Detroit before they got Jennings. If we are going to use space on him he would be playing backup pg minutes. Otherwise they would go to CJ and then what's the point? There's plenty of better defending wings out there.

He would be a solid bench guy and the team could use that. I would probably make a run at him over Crawford.

If you want someone to replace Mo Williams, Stuckey fits the bill as well as anyone, IMO.

Stotts has an established system based around our starters. Bench acquisitions need to fit that system. A poor 3pt shooting guard won't work. I wasn't a fan of signing Livingston for this reason, and I like Livingston far more than Stuckey.

Career 42.3% fg, 28.6% 3pt. I'd pass. I'd rather have Chalmers, Collison, Augustin, Sessions, Nelson, Brooks or even Mo.

Stuckey has playoff experience.

15 ppg in 2009 Playoffs

Averaged 8 ppg in a deep playoff run in 2008 (Made it to game 6 ECF). It was one of the reasons they traded Billups. They thought Stuckey was ready to start.

Stuckey plays tough like Jarrett Jack. Good scorer.

He was third on my FA list behind Avery and Pau.

I'm down! For a 20mpg backup role, he is perfect.

FWIW for those interested:

Chris Broussard @Chris_Broussard
I'm told Indiana has no plans to pursue Rodney Stuckey

Stuckey never looked to me like he enjoyed the game of basketball. Maybe he just hated Detroit but he's never impressed me

Well, Greg Oden has playoff experience if that is your criterion...

Sorry, but every time I hear Stuckey I think of Stuckey the screwup cop on Law & Order SVU.

If we could do a S&T for him I'd be Interested, something like Wright and Leonard. Would be a good change of pace guard.

ONLY if we gave up a scrap like Wright. No way I sign this guy with one of our exceptions.

Absolutely not. I doubt he's a better PG than either CJ or Will.
