Another falsehood. The opposite is actually true.

Whoops, Spain says otherwise.

Most economists believe in free trade, no minimum wage, and no rent control. These are the three subjects we agree on the most.

This post demonstrates you lack basic reading comprehension skills, which leads me to believe that you aren't qualified for much of anything. I wonder who types your posts for you? :dunno:

You're the one denying the basic principles taught by all Socialist Econ professors.

When the Unemployment rate goes it is because the people with the FEWEST skills lose a job. People that pump your gas or wash your car windows are the first ones who lose their jobs, usually they are teenagers or people without a high school education.

Like I said your ideas are all Bullshit, it is young inner city kids with no education that get fired first. Not college educated Economics majors. Don't embarrass yourself anymore, you have no statistics on your side.

So if raising the minmum wage is good why not raise everyone's wages to 20 dollars an hour? There's a reason business owners in the Eurozone are scared to hire new employees.

I'm ALWAYS right and I NEVER lie.

You, on the other hand...

You lack a basic understanding of the supply curve of Labor.

The easier a job is the more the supply curve shifts to the right, lowering the market equilibrium wage.

That's how Obama became rich, you mean.

See how easy it is to lie?

Lol, he's funny. I guess he thinks my privatized student loans are also make-believe.

This guy just wants to live off of other people. Denny doesn't owe him shit.

I thought it was because firing them is (a) very difficult and (b) saddles them with a lot of unemployment benefits. Neither of those two issues are a problem in America, especially at-will states like Oregon.

You're not going to pay high school dropouts 20 dollars an hour, that's the largest reason. And certainly not during a period of stagflation.

This administration doesn't want at-will states either, the Wisconsin complaining was pretty clear.

Since the President is accusing Romney of a felony, shouldn't he have his DoJ open an investigation into Bain?

Obama is such a petty and small man. He has no accomplishments of his own, so he does what he's always done, which is lie, obfuscate, and slime his opponent. It won't work this time, though. Two of Obama's top bundlers worked at Bain after Romney; if there was a felony committed, we'd already have known about it from them.

This Obama guy has lowered the presidency to a level that I didn't think was possible in my lifetime. Hell, at least Bush had surrogates who actually served with John Kerry attack Kerry, while not touching the Swiftboat stuff himself.

They're both almost equally disgusting. Shit Flopney and Obamanation I mean.

But what is most disturbing is how the media tries to cover-up for Barry. It is unprofessional and unsavory, not to mention that they're not very good with math.

First of all, very few college educated Economics majors ever actually have had to work for a living, nor do they have any real knowledge of the lives of the middle-class. Secondly, with no factual reference to support your claim(?) using Spain (a constitutional monarchy) as an example of how the American economy (no similarities at all) would theoretically work once again demonstrates you're just padding your post count by typing jibberish.

He has not accused Bain of anything illegal, so obviously not.

Right the WTO was formed to stop free trade.

Pathetic.

The entire idea of the WTO is not supported by "most economists".

The entire idea of the WTO is to exploit the common man and attain global domination for the 1%. If you actually had any education in economics you'd know that much at least.

And people at McDonalds work even harder than you do. It doesn't make you smarter.

In fact I think you're spoiled, most people would kill to be a lower class citizen in the USA. You strike me as a whiner that doesn't care about state insolvency.

California is very similar to Greece, and within a decade the US will be fucked. The US is six years away from having Greek sovereign debt levels. http://reason.com/archives/2011/12/08/america-is-just-one-decade-away-from-tur

The WTO has over 150 members and Spain is one of them. http://www.wto.org/english/thewto_e/whatis_e/tif_e/org6_e.htm

WTO is headquartered in one of the most capitalist countries in the world and its goal is to promote free trade, even the Euro-zone believes in it.

I'll just take out my Economics textbook then.

Yes we agree with free trade, you're just bitter.

http://ew-econ.typepad.fr/articleAEAsurvey.pdf

Economists overwhelmingly favor free trade—
apparently, the freer the better.
As the Supplemental
Table (www.bepress.com/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?
filename=0&article=1156&context=ev&type=
additional) indicates, the overwhelming majority
(87.5%) agree that the U.S. should eliminate
remaining tariffs and other barriers to trade.
1
Even more (90.1%) disagree with the suggestion
that the U.S. should restrict employers from outsourcing
work to foreign countries.

Because $40 an hour would be more realistic and fair.

Obama's buddies at Bain said he's full of shit. That won't stop Barry from desperately trying to slime Romney. Hell, Obama probably knows more felons than almost anyone in DC. He bought his house from one!

Making more shit up, or weren't you paying attention in class?

Quoting your own source, Robert Whaples of Wake Forest, a majority of economists either support the current minimum wage (14.3%), or want it increased (37.7%).

Since you're an economist, I guess the math is a struggle for you. 37.7 + 14.3 = 52%

A similar survey in 2006 by Robert Whaples polled PhD members of the American Economic Association. Whaples found that 37.7% of respondents supported an increase in the minimum wage, 14.3% wanted it kept at the current level, 1.3% wanted it decreased, and 46.8% wanted it completely eliminated.

Ultimately Mr. Romney, I think, is going to have to answer those questions, because if he aspires to being president one of the things you learn is, you are ultimately responsible for the conduct of your operations, but again that's probably a question that he's going to have to answer and I think that's a legitimate part of the campaign.

-Barack Obama

The irony of President BushDidIt saying this, and the guy claiming executive privilege for his AG in Fast and Furious, is absolutely stunning.

And where does this money come from?

LOL wtf?

The same place it went over the last 40 years as the minimum wage continually failed to keep up with inflation.

The pockets of the 1%.

Dude, I really hope you have some other skill or ability because you are going nowhere as an economist.

Most either wanted it eliminated or maintained.

Over 60%, nice try. A plurality of Economists, 47% want it eliminated completely and this is the largest constituency. You fucked up brah.

Most economists clearly don't want to raise minimum wage.

And governments can't keep anyone from moving.

And since you brought up Spain as an example for us to follow...

What Makes Spain's Health Care System The Best?

by Jerome Socolovsky

Spain's single-payer health care system is ranked seventh best in the world by the World Health Organization. The system offers universal coverage as a constitutionally-guaranteed right and no out-of-pocket expenses — aside from prescription drugs.

Speaking of moving... where will everyone making $2.50 an hour move to when we get rid of minimum wage? And don't say college dorms because I doubt they get in; remember these are high school dropouts. Maybe we feed the poor to the hungry? Solves that problem. Next!

Go back and read your post. That's not at all what your claim was and you've been outed.

Spain has a great healthcare system, if you have a job.

Unfortunately Spain's unemployment rate of 20+% rapes your point. :)

Ultimately they will be forced to invade gated communities and dine on the fatty flesh of the idle rich.
