Roy not back this weekend

When he's ready, he's ready. We shouldn't need his help over the next three games.

Good news if you ask me. Wait til we come home. We might go 3-0 without him right?

These are road games. Do you really believe the Blazers will go 3 and 0 when their road record is a cumulative 10-17?

I always believe they're going to win until they lose.

Yes, although the back-to-back with Minny has me a bit concerned. And the Blazers are 5-6 on the road since Brandon went down.

Good point, just looking at the competition. I guess we should have swept NJ/Philly/DC too though.

But they're getting better all the time . . . If you'd told me 6 months ago that we could beat San Antonio and Chicago without Roy, Camby, or Oden, I would have laughed. I think the road record will improve the longer these guys play together.

I don't expect us to do better than 1-2 in these 3 road games. We are just plain BAD on the road right now.

I'm a fan. Of course I believe they're going to win.

these 3 road gamrs are huge. all are must wins. this is a very soft schedule.

Just because your a fan doesn't mean you have to run around with blinders on all the time either.

There's a difference between what I believe and what I think. I believe we can beat the Raptors, Pistons and T'Wolves. I think we may have one down game.

Toronto has 14 wins on the season, Minnesota 13. The team should go at least 2-1 on the road trip, especially if Camby comes back.

As for Roy, I say bring him back after the all-star break which is 2 weeks from today. Just give him the extra time to really do whatever he has to do to make the knee better/get in better shape. You can thing bring him back for his first game at home against the Lakers. That would give the team a huge inspirational boost. It would also give the team more time to prepare for Roy's return and how he will be used.

“[They] kind of reeled me back in a little bit,” said Roy. “They don’t want to put a day on when I’m going to come back. But my goal is to continue to try to get better and whenever [coach] is watching me, [I have to] try to show him that I’m close to being ready to play. He wants me to be comfortable playing and I have to respect that.”

McMillan said that both Roy and Marcus Camby practiced, about 30 minutes each, but a timetable has not been set for either player.

“I was excited,” said Roy. “Just waking up this morning, I was happy to get involved with practice. It was good just running out there with the guys, playing and competing. I haven’t been able to compete in so long. It’s just good. I had a good time out there and it was a fun practice. I felt everybody’s energy was high and I thought we got something done today.”

And for good measure:

“I feel like I have to adjust to let the team win,” said Roy of his potential new role. “If the adjustment is going inside…then I’m perfectly fine with that…Even when I played, we tried to attempt to go inside, but now we have a really good presence in here and I think we’re going to continue to go that route. I’m going to do whatever I can to help this team win.”

McMillan said that there have been some changes to offensive sets that will require Roy to adjust. But what about his teammates? Will they be able to adapt to a former All-Star who's been explicit in months past about his desire to handle the ball?

“He's an All-star,” LaMarcus Aldridge said. "I don't see it being much of an issue putting him back in the rotation.”

This team deserves some good luck. I really hope he is able to come back strong, even if it is for shorter minutes per game.
