ABM & I were on speaker phone (he in Atlanta and I in the Portland area) and he was saying something and I went ballistic. The Portland feed was about 4 seconds ahead of Atlanta so he got a screaming preview from me first.

I don't think that Phoenix would have come back anyway, but it broke their back. Give Sergio some credit too. Great penetration and pass. I could be wrong here but I think by him jumping into the passing lane at the last moment caused the inbounder to change his mind on where to throw it. Which led him not to see Rudy lurking around.

You're absolutely right. That 6.5 seconds broke the Sun's back.

We have the Miracle Minute. Now we have the Miracle Second. Thanks for posting the vid, I'm definitely saving it.

Outstanding sequence. Oden's block party in the 2nd quarter was great too!

Plays like the penetration and dish make me wonder if Sergio and Rudy just sit in the back of the team plane thinking up plays like this, and then basically telling the other three Blazers to get out of the way while they execute it. I wonder if they let Nate in on their plans as well. These two have been playing so long together, they can sense each other's movements and thoughts, which is one of the reasons that I think Sergio should NOT be traded. For all of his faults and limitations, he and Rudy exist on some kind of wavelength that every once in a while brings spectacular plays like this.

other then roys game winners... was there a better moment all year?

I was in the TNT truck jumping up and down screaming. Almost got in trouble then the producer and director remembered I was from P-Town!

Awesome. Thanks for the clips. I was at work and couldn't even follow the box score since I was in a meeting. Huge statement game for us. This is another step to prove that we have arrived and are worthy to be in the playoffs.

Rudy's a big-time player and seems to show up when the lights shine bright. It looks like he's getting his legs back, and has that bounce to his step. Good to see as we wind down. It's such a luxury to have a guy like him to come off the bench and provide instant offense with Travis.

I was by myself in my friends room and just jumpd up and went crazy.. then just paced the room with a smile so big my cheeks were sore after.

Sergio Rodriguez was extremely effective in his 14 minutes, dishing out a game-high eight assists.

Fernandez came off the bench to score 23 points to help the Portland Trail Blazers snap the Phoenix Suns' six-game winning streak with a 129-109 victory Thursday night.

The rookie from Spain made a career-high five 3-pointers, including one at the buzzer of the third quarter to give Portland a 21-point lead. Fernandez seems to be getting hot in his last three games, averaging 18.0 points and shooting 54.5 percent (12-of-22) from 3-point range over that span.

Bake it!

Sergio did have a excellent game last nite!

Check out this quote from his interview. Apprantly he didn't get the memo that when you're always supposed always say, "We don't care who we play".

"The game was practically over when I made that three. We've played with a lot of confidence. Phoenix was a team that could have potentially kicked us out of the playoffs, but with this win making the playoffs is practically a sure thing. We've got to try and avoid facing the Lakers and the Spurs. The truth is we don't want anything to do with the Spurs, they aren't a good match up for us. Honestly I think we'd have more success against Houston."

I love it. Though I don't agree!! The Rockets scare the b-jesus out of me.

Do you mind if I ask why you're in the TNT truck? Do you help them with the shots etc or were you there just observing? I mean does the home broadcasting team usually help TNT?

I was at the game with my girlfriend, and I saw the play coming from a mile away. Rudy went to the wing (like he always does) and I just knew Sergio would be looking for him there. The three, on the other hand, completely caught me off guard.

I didn't get a chance to watch SC last night - did Rudy's "play" make the top 10? I would imagine it was #1, but maybe I'm a little biased. That was SUCH a sick sequence!

No. I watched 1-7 and was waiting the whole time for Rudy to show up, but nothing. If someone saw 8-10 with Rudy, please correct me. But their highlights of the game were fucking pathetic considering the number of amazing plays/material that we provided them with (half of it was about Shaq and Lopez mouthing off). They showed Rudy's three AFTER he stole the inbound pass...... not even mentioning the dish by Sergio and finish by Rudy beforehand that made it such a fantastic sequence.

Yeah, they've ran that play quite a few times that i can remember.

It wasn't in the top 10, and I don't think it was even in the highlights.

That play reminded me of this play:

Rodney Rogers > Reggie Miller :devilwink:

I've posted this before--both on here and in various other forums--but it just never gets old:
