No agreement at all on this subject. Denny should be hoping we get either one of these guys. The arguments will be epic!

You could've said the exact same thing about Elliot Williams up until a few weeks ago...

It's all about perspective, so here's mine: Bledsoe is a big, long, athletic PG who really hasn't had a show to run since HS, however everywhere he's gone since, he's shown flashes of stellar play when given the opportunity. Augustin would be fine, but he likely is what he is at this point. A king's ransom from Minny would be great but unrealistic, and we simply aren't going to get much better than that...

We're not going over the top with Crawford as is... Does Augustin put us over the top? Does anything short of Wes Johnson and Minny's completely unprotected #1 put us over the top? Doubtful, on both accounts. Bledsoe might, or might not be a PGOFT, but at this point, taking a chance on him being just that seems like a better idea than going the "safe" route w/ Austin or a less-than-stellar deal w/ Minny...

Fine. There are a lot of guys in the league with potential and who can show "flashes" given the opportunity. However, you have to kind of dominate at some time if you want to be a starting PG in this league. Hell, Babbit dominated at the D-league. I just don't see him being anything other than a backup Point Guard at best. And I've seen him live 2-3 times since I do watch Clipper games (one game he did play ok).

The guy has been injured you idiot....

torn lateral meniscus in his knee....

so he plays with his injuries? show me anything that indicates he would even start on a lottery team?

his draft express profile? shit, I can throw a dart at any bench player in the league and say the same thing.

Don't necessarily disagree with you. Without question, he's far from a SURE THING. My point is just that the offers that are out there don't appear to include ANY sure things, and moreover, include pieces along the lines of your "you get what you see" players... Bledsoe has a lot of the necessary ingredients to be a kid that develops into something... Might as well take a shot on that than the other crap we're being offered (again, barring Minny giving us Johnson and a 1st)

What, to sit on the end of the bench versus having a rotation player?

I'd still prefer just letting Nolan play,a s opposed to adding Bledose to.

Here is the stretch where he got minutes as a rookie last year.

Pres if you're so omnipotent why are you not a GM? You CLEARLY know exactly what this 22 year old kid - who's either been playing out of position since high school, buried under veterans or sidelined by injuries - is going to be, so I guess there's no point in "debating" with you...

Stars win in the NBA. We're saying roll the dice on this kid. If we'd only have had your advanced knowledge we could've saved ourselves the embarrassingly optimistic posts.

Oh well... next time.

It seems like you're throwing darts at a board. I mean, where did "Eric Bledsoe" come from here.

This is like Ramon Sessions all over again.

and he's the third string PG on the clippers currently.

lol...wow...

You are right, he is 3rd string....

22yr old, 2nd year player, coming off a significant injury in November, he is backing up a future hall of famer in Chris Paul...and a pretty decent vet in Mo Williams....

Clearly, your case has been made...and it is STRONG....

and Randy Foye.

Having watched Bledsoe quite a bit, he has a ton of talent and natural ability. But, I don't think he's ever been coached on how to actually run the PG position. Every time I watch a Clippers game their announcers are ranting and raving about Bledsoe. I consider the Clippers announcing team to be one of the more knowledgeable in the league.

@johnhollinger Crawford-for-Bledsoe can be defended on other merits, but Bledsoe is one of few PGs in captivity more TO-prone than Felton.

Foye\Williams interchange at PG, but why let that stop you....You could have at least added Billups...

what does this even mean? I mean me being an idiot and all. Me don't get it.

So Foye/Willliams interchange as a backup PG, so that makes Bledsoe the 3rd string, not the 4th string PG? good point. :MARIS61:

Blazers May Explore Felton for Blake Swap

If we really do that, I am not gonna watch this team any longer.

I would much rather have Felton. But that isn't saying much.

"Rival executives believe the Blazers are interested in exploring a swap of Felton to the Lakers for Steve Blake, with L.A. sending another piece to make the salaries match and compensate the Blazers for getting the better player and future cost savings in the deal. The Portland coaching staff and front office are comfortable with Blake, who could provide a calming presence as the team battles through numerous distractions. Coach Nate McMillan appears to be safe for the time being, according to people in contact with Blazers officials." CBSSports.com
