So working several deals, but will likely wait until summer? Atta boy, Rice

So is there big news we will ahve to wait on or is it only minor trade likely to happen?

(not questioning you mags, reading your comments, rice seems all over the board)

Sounds like a drunk man rambling on

Bingo! Tell the serfs they are getting an extra turnip in their Christmas stew....someday...maybe. Way to keep up morale!

True, He called Felton a smoldering pile of bull crap - and we all know only elephants drop turds that big!

LOL, niiiiccceeee!

You also forgot the smoldering part. Poop can't really smolder by itself.

In addition, smoldering implies heat. Heat in basketball implies you're having some success. We know Ray ain't having any success on the court this year.

Uh oh, HCP. Did the Mrs show up? Better clear the ladies out of your room.
Damn. Figures someone would beat me to it. What do I have to do, stay on this site 24-7?

Hold onto your shorts guy has some insight

Chad Ford had a couple mentions of where he thought Jamal Crawford could end up.

Minnesota - for Ridnour
Indiana - didn't say

Crawford for Ridnour and Felton for Blake (Lakers) have been out there because they are both former PGs under Nate. (Wish he was comfortable with a PG that actually had talent but that is another thread :P ) So I started digging around and heard some of the following. First of all, no "shorts" as of this post. :)

There are two streams of thought. If they lose so many games before a trade can be made that they are basically out of the playoff hunt, they may go the "let the expiring contracts play out and take a shot at FA'cy" route.

If they can win couple games before the deadline and stay in the hunt, they have looked at any of the ending or possibly ending contracts as movable.

That means Felton, Crawford, Wallace and Camby. The impression was that both Nash and Rondo had already at least been inquired about just to see the asking price or how a deal might be worked out. Otherwise, they would like a PG that had a manageable or ending contract (they didn't think Calderon was in play) that would still address some of this seasons issues.

Of the most likely, they seemed to think Camby was as likely to go as Felton just because of the size of his ending contract and with the addition of Przybilla.

Luke Ridnour and Steve Blake.................why bother?

I'd keep that W.L. property and rent in Tennessee.

Memphis is gnarly.

Ford: Blazers "Open To" Trading F Gerald Wallace
Chad Ford of ESPN.com writes that Portland Trail Blazers forward Gerald Wallace is the No. 6 impact player likely to be moved in advance of next week's trade deadline.
------------------------------
The Blazers balked a bit at moving Wallace at the start of the season, but they seem more open to it now. Nicolas Batum is their long-term answer at the small forward position, and they aren't really competing for a title.

A few long-term assets might be all that's required to pry Wallace from Portland. I could see the Magic making a big push in this direction.

Ken Berger of CBSSports.com reports that the Portland Trail Blazers are in the trade deadline phone call mix.
---------------------------------
The Trail Blazers have been among the most active teams, seeking to move Jamal Crawford and acquire a big man -- either in the same or separate deals. The asking price for Crawford, however, includes a first-round pick in addition to Luke Ridnour (Timberwolves) or Eric Bledsoe (Clippers). Depending on what point guard the Blazers can bring back in a deal, they'd also be in a position to put Raymond Felton out of his misery. Felton's up-tempo style and Nate McMillan's deliberate offense clearly are not fitting together. "They've got to make major changes," one executive said.

Bledsoe and a first rounder please. If Felton was gone he could start and actually be developed into a pgotf!

I still prefer if we trade felton, starting nolan and forcing him into the spot, personally.

The Clippers most tradable asset, Eric Bledose, isn’t someone the team is eager to move, though.

“Eric Bledsoe is going to play an intricate role as he gets healthier as he continued to get back in the flow,” Olshey said. “He’s a young, dynamic, athletic guard that’s had big games for us in the past and gives us a great look with (Chris Paul).

“We’re not looking to make any changes there.”

If the Clippers are unwilling to part ways with Bledsoe, they probably don’t have a whole lot to offer at the deadline. The team is without a first-round pick this year, doesn’t have rookies with a lot of value and doesn’t have any big expiring contracts.

Trying to drive up his value imo

minnesota doesn't have their own pick, N.O. has it.

It might seem meh, but I like this trade. Getting Minny's first rounder maybe a good one. They haven't done their 7 game road trip yet. They may not make the playoffs, therefor we may get a decent pick. Luke is Meh, but he's better than Felton. I would like this deal, if we have another in the works.

Huh? Doesnt new orleans have minnys 2012 pick

SON OF A BITCH! Well they better get a pick from somewhere else then because I don't want a Luke for Crawford straight up deal!

thay have a protected utah pick this year, and memphis 2013

Memphis wouldn't be able to trade next years pick if they have already traded this years, correct? Wouldn't it have to be in 2014?
