It's just an entire franchise that doesn't want to believe that their window closed.

Dallas made the same mistake trading for Kidd instead of keeping a building block in Harris.

Teams are lucky if they have more than a 3 year window for a championship. Phoenix had a great shot and if the ball bounces the right way and/or maybe someone eliminates the Spurs before the Suns have to face them, they're probably NBA champions.

Or more likely a fabrication from your friend. If it were a fabrication by the Phoenix media there would be a link, to said fabricated rumor.

To be fair, he never fired D'Antoni. Dolan through unbelievable dough at him and he opted to go elsewhere.

The interim head coach? Apparently Steve Kerr.

There is no confirmation on this as of yet but it’s certainly an interesting thought.

Could Kerr be a good coach? Maybe, he has experienced great coaches such as Lute Olson, Phil Jackson and Gregg Popovich as a player and maybe things rubbed off on him.

One thing is for sure, it can’t hurt for him to have to learn how the other half lives and to truly get to know the pieces on this roster.

Haha... right. Kerr is going to be great because he played for Phil Jackson, Lute Olson, and Greg Popovich. Brilliant!

Also, what's with the "and to truly get to know the pieces on this roster"? Does he think that Kerr has never watched a practice? Never seen his guys play? Has no idea what they're like on and off the court? No... they're just trading cards to Stevie Kerr!

You can keep laughing but the source on the Suns' realgm forum is legit. He broke the Shaq trade and the Richardson trade a week before anyone else.

He was doomed to failure. That franchise has screwed itself over 12 ways to Tuesday in the last four years or so.

Good for the rest of the NBA, bad for TP.

I feel sorry for him, it's hard to say how much of his decisions of how to use the roster was forced by Kerr. If it was all Porter's own choices, he's not a good head coach, IMO.

Nate has already turned down some of his old staff because he doesn't have space on the current staff and doesn't want to let anyone go. I can't see Porter getting hired here.

Me, neither. Midseason adjustments to coaching staffs isn't usually the best thing for a team that's going to get into the playoffs.

This is still a rumor, not official. It won't be official until Monday when the NBA allows the Suns to fire him.
