He wouldn’t even be ahead of Watford
Yes, he would be ahead of Watford.
Watford was a VERY reluctant 3-point shooter with less than 1 attempt in his average 18 minutes per game. Only 14 percent of his shots were 3-pointers. He shot 24% on threes.

Sochan didn't hesitate to shoot 3-pointers and 38% of his shots were 3-pointers. He shot 30% on threes.

Sochan also has much better foot speed than Watford.

no he wouldn’t. This is pure fantasy.

maybe I'm naive and this is all just deflection and leverage plays, but does it make much sense for the Blazers to be bringing in all these players for workouts, including a bunch of the green room invites, if they were determined to trade the pick?

I was wondering the same thing but now I'm thinking they would lose a little leverage if nobody thought they might draft a player.

So Shaedon has worked out with OKC/Orlando/Charlotte/SAS/some others according to him. (one of them was the Pelicans)

Orlando?! That went under the radar. They worked out Keegan Murray as well.

Wonder why Sochan was so quick to get out of there.

these guys have crazy travel schedules. Jordan Hall who was in the workout today, was just in Toronto last night. Wouldn't surprise me if Sochan had a flight to catch.

Any of the above names coming in today going to be a starter or 6th man? Dame needs help NOW….not in 3 years FAMS!

What the team needs is an influx of talent.

Let's be honest here - we aren't talking about trading for a high impact player. We are talking another RoCo/Nance/Powell type deal that barely makes the needle twitch. I'd rather have a guy who actually makes a difference in 3 years, than a player who doesn't really matter now or later.

He wouldn’t even be ahead of Watford

That wasn’t the question. The question was “could anyone start or be a 6th man”.

He would be a legitimate starter. Would we make the playoffs? Who knows. But it would also help him develop as a player headed into year 2, which is more in line with a viable timeline to compete than next year anyway.

And he would be so far ahead of Watford I question if you’ve ever seen him play.

The overwhelming majority of scouts opinions is: Immediate starter due to defensive ability and switchability, high skill level and BBIQ, coupled with ability to attack the rim, decent playmaking ability and handle. Willing passer. Great cutter. Doesn’t need the ball. Willing shooter.

Now how he shoots the ball really determines how good he can be in the end, of course, but a vast majority of scouts believe he’s a day 1 starter. I happen to agree.

He didn't even stay for the entire workout, though. That seems like it would be unusual.

I need us to get Jalen Duren, Dalen Terry and Tari Eason on our roster and then bring back Mike Rice for pure viewing entertainment

Jalen Terry Eason looks better than ever! Put on 30 lbs of pure muscle over the summer. Plays like he is three people rolled into one! Pretty sure he can guard anyone from 1-5!

Ask not what his team can do for Dame but what Dame can do for his team.

just as long as you acknowledge what Dame has done for the team in the last decade....which has been a hell of a lot more than anybody has done since Clyde

Most likely the last workout of the year... unless we see surprise repeats.

If you’re so confident, put money on it. I’ll bet you $100 he’s not an immediate starter on a team that has playoff aspirations, including Portland.

Not to be snarky, but do you remember a guy named Roy who was praised for saving the team post jailblazers?
