I like the addition of Lofton.
Apropos of absolutely nothing... his stock went down in my mind when I found out he wasn't the son of this Kenny Lofton...

i used to be in on eason but after hearing how bad his bbiq is I’m totally out. Even the most athletic players are useless without good bbiq (see Travis outlaw or Thomas Robinson)
this was actually kinda cool. speaks to the merits of solo workouts, and how important bringing them in house.
It reminds me of interview processes in the corporate field where dinner with candidates the night before was more informative than the whole set of the meetings on the interview day. the guy I'm waiting on is Sharpe.
i'm kinda hesitant on it too, but it's really hard to be as productive a perimeter/wing defender as him without some sorta bball smarts. really think it's a smokescreen based on a continuing narrative.
He could be a steal if you can get him in the second. He has a lot of upside. I read where he likens himself to be a Draymond Green type player. I like confident players. They don't back down.Evan Battey is a big, thick forward (6'8", 260) who can stroke from outside (shot nearly 50% from 3 this year). I'm sure he's too slow and ground-bound to be a legit player, but I could see him finding his way onto a roster as a pick-and-pop threat off the bench. Plus he's just got a great story, recovering from a stroke in his freshman year.
You take shit on here seriously all of the time... obviously getting heated on the regular but then you have the hypocritical gall to call other posters dorks. You're pretty toxic man. Some of you dorks take this shit way too seriously lolol
I think we've brought in more guys projected top 12 than any other team.Question? do you think the team is waiting on bringing in their tier guys on their board last, for a better comparisons? Any strategy in that? Or is it just logistics on when they can come?
But not a few guys like Murray, Sochan or Davis as an example.I think we've brought in more guys projected top 12 than any other team.

Purely coincidence i think. Heres a tracker in an awful format.I can't keep track so I and may be wrong, but it sure seems that the pace of bringing prospects in for workouts went way up after the initial news Portland was hiring Schmitz
No Sharpe thus far either if I'm not mistaken. Am I mistaken? But not a few guys like Murray, Sochan or Davis as an example.
Murray has only worked out with the Magic so far.But not a few guys like Murray, Sochan or Davis as an example.

sharpe is the one guy i care most about bringing in house and spending time with him to get to know him better.
I am off Eason unless its with a late first or 2nd rd pickWith Sochan vs. Eason, the combine measurements were great for Eason, but watching video of him ... dropping passes ... fumbling even with big mitts ... a bit all over the place (awkward) in moves that worked out on O ... vs. Sochan who looked like he can become elite on D with some early playmaking skills. Sochan is about option 5 for me at #7.
And Sacramento:Sochan only with OKC and the Pels.
And Sacramento:
Many think he's low to mid teens, but Im thinking because he could be the best defender in the draft he could go as high as 5. What teams could use a 6'9 on ball defender that can guard 1-5?Unless they're looking to trade down, that would be a massive leap up the boards.
Only thing I heard from someone at the workout was that they loved DurenTeams are not going to tip the cards as to who they like best, workout or not.
Yeah, may hear some general feedback from video/reporter take but, nothing from those determining what their needs are and who has gone up or down on their board.
Ive yet to hear from Joe or Chauncey on feedback from workouts or interviews.
Its their job to keep US guessing and that doesn't require a lot of effort.
