Like MikeDC said, we have more good players to go around with a few less teams. It's less work for DD. If we have an expansion draft next season, we'd all get to protect a certain number of players and the rest would be up for grabs to the expansion teams so they don't get screwed.

Surprised he dropped that far to be honest.

I was pretty shocked too, especially with this being a keeper-style type of thing. I'm happy with my first and second rounders though, that's for sure. I have my dominant, prolific scoring wing player and a guy that can be an absolute force in the paint.

The sad part about this, is that I've PMed pretty much everyone, unless I was asleep, when their pick came up or was near. Yet they don't make their pick, even if its skipped, AND I see them online here. THEN they make their pick like a day AFTER their pick was skipped, even though they could've picked the night before!

At end of 2nd round, I'll reevaluate. IF those picks are still skipped, they will be dropped. I'm pretty sure I can get a GM for the Wizards, if I spent the time on my other forums elsewhere to get one guy over here. Right now, it's looking like CK and fawzi will be dropped.

I think we should start fresh. Then thru the season let it simulate injuries. Also if we go with a cap, I think we should go with a slightly higher cap then the current NBA. It'd be more fun that way, rather than us playing penny-pinching all the time in our first season, ya know?

True, but Lee is doing it as basically the only frontcourt player in a D'antoni system, and Gasol is doing it alongside another 20/10 guy in a traditional system. Plus, Gasol's just bigger.

Yao's career might be over. It is a good gamble, just not with a pick that should net you a starter for years to come.
