Yeah but they said the scan came back negative and if he was actually hurt I think they would have just said he’s out for the rest of SL.
Did any details come from the scan beyond that it's a "strain?"

Varying degrees of strains. Possibly even including some substantial tears.

I'm having a deja vu moment.

They were very specific last year when they reported about Shaedon. Why would they hide that this time?

Also it wasn’t official, but ESPN said they talked to Scoot and he said the scan was clean.

Ya i don't really care about SL. More concerned about not getting court time over the next few months

You can have a negative MRI and still be experiencing pain and stiffness. He's got the regular season to learn to play through that. He played one game so he still gets a Summer League championship ring when we repeat.

Are they doing the rings this year?

I forgot the podcast, but it brought up the fact that Scoot completely shut it down whenever he was even a little injured in the G League. They compared this to how Brandon Miller was playing through an injury he shouldn't have and it may have hurt his draft stock. Obviously, this was pre-draft and it didn't hurt his draft stock, but it may be something to watch.

Is Scoot on the Kawhi, "I have to be 100%" train?

FWIW, if I were the Blazers, I'd shut Scoot down because it's SL and it doesn't matter.

I know it isn't something serious, but after waiting months and months and finally see who we got on draft night it fucking sucks that we won't be able to see our prospect for 3 more months

it happened the same last year with Sharpe

It always happen with us, minor or major injuries always ruin our path

I'm not superstitious but at some point we should try something in that department, at least we can say we try it all..

Probably will happen again next year.

Honestly i wouldn't be surprised, i'm at the point that i expect the worst soon to happen for the Blazers

I hated the clichèe about us "they are cursed" but after years and years of evidence i may surrend to the reality...

This is becoming an annual event - our most anticipated rookie plays part of game one of SL and then hurts their shoulder and is out the rest of SL (leaving us fans wishing for more).

Now we get to grumpily (and contentiously based on some of the messages I see) await training camp.

Now just imagine how good would be if tonight Scoot comes out of the locker room ready to play with a warm up jersey saying "Fentress suc@s" on the front and "Lillard to Minnesota" on the back

injury prone & portland trail blazers, name a better duo
