The Blazers currently have the 14th-worst record in the NBA. They owe Charlotte a first-round draft pick to complete the 2011 trade for Wallace. The pick is top-12 protected, and if the season ended with Portland in the same spot it's at now, the odds would be overwhelming that they would have to give the pick to the Bobcats.
From the 14th spot, the only way the Blazers could move up in the draft lottery would be if the ping-pong balls game them a top-three pick. The odds against that happening would be overwhelming.
