Oh I know Roy will still be playing this season. I suspect next season will be when he is waived. We have 2 years to use the Amnesty clause. Makes no sense to do it this season, since it doesn't help us "Cap wise". And Roy will still be in the NBA. No doubt about it. He is still a great player; with the heart of a champion. No team would think twice on bringing him in the rotation. Its just the 68 mil punch on the cap. Too hard of a pill to swallow.

You definitely have been gone, otherwise you would have seen my only post in months made yesterday wherein I declare no one associated with the Blazers will have the balls to push Paul Allen (and he would need big-time pushing) to Amnesty Brandon Roy - this year anyway.

(One qualifier - if after the new CBA is ratified and players can talk to teams, Roy goes to the Blazers and says his knees are real bad and the current season is doubtbul for him, then that is different.)
