Which puts us in sole possession of the 6th seed.. Now lets just hope that LA holds on to the 2 and beats OKC tonight... (can't believe I just said that)

If Portland loses to Memphis and we all end up with identical records, does anyone know what the seeding will be for 6, 7 and 8?
I believe it will be:If Portland loses to Memphis and we all end up with identical records, does anyone know what the seeding will be for 6, 7 and 8?

Memphis has won eight of 10 and plays host to New Orleans before wrapping up with road games against Portland and the Clippers. If the Grizzlies win out, it could set up a three-way tie with the Blazers and Hornets. In that case, New Orleans would finish sixth, Memphis seventh and Portland eighth. The Blazers can avoid a three-way tie, however, simply by beating the Grizzlies on Tuesday night at the Rose Garden.
Hell maybe we're better off losing the Memphis game and getting the 8 seed. Although its ridiculous to tank for the Spurs now that I reread that.
Lakers might be the 4 seed.
The Lakers aren't tanking. There's a difference between tanking and sucking.
If they are, that first round with Denver is going to be a war.
We could still be 5 seed.
Who owns the tiebreaker between Denver and Portland? Because Portland would have to win both their remaining games and Denver lose theirs to TIE.

I wish I could believe that, tlong. But I've seen too many Phil Jackson teams do this and then "flip the switch" when the playoffs start to buy it.
If we're honest, we're going out in round 1 whatever happens (barring sudden massive injuries to the two best players on the other team), so why not go out fighting the Lakers? Maybe we can take out a couple of their players in the process. Dallas does seem weak at the moment, and have an unfortunate history in the playoffs, but Dirk Nowtizki has been kicking this team's ass for a long time.
And we want no part of San Antonio, not with a healthy Ginobili.
Agreed: Jackson teams always always lose some strange games in the month or so before the playoffs. Even the 72-win Bulls did, I believe. And if you look at the Lakers' record in the second half of last season, they were 25-16, tied (with us and San Antonio) for 6th in the West. Didn't matter, did it?

I disagree. We can beat anybody in the playoffs this year as long as we're healthy. And San Antonio would be an excellent matchup for us. They have no size and we have more overall team speed than them.
