[Semi-OT] The Lakers are an absolute Dumpster Fire and I am loving every second of it

I hate to say it, and it's super early, but as far as dumpster fires go...
Lakers started 3-0, and since they've gone 1-4. AD is injured and listed day-to-day. AD and the LeBron have been playing huge minutes, and both played in the Olympics, so look for them to miss more time. And now, there's this:

In addition, JJ just roasted the whole team sans LBJ for lack of effort, and then walked out of an interview because he got a question he didn't like.

Feels extremely dumpster-firey to me.

the best part is that lakers fans are convincing themselves that their anointed, exceptionalist franchise has a proper sheriff in town! who’s going to bring some accountability to their locker room!

I can’t remember where I’ve heard that before, but it’s something to do with putting an address on it, lol.

But hell they still roll out Bronny during garbage time! Awesome player development. It’s sort of a comedy act like Taco Fall or whatever his name was. He is NOT going to the G league. Daddy won’t have his kid playing in the lowly g league. Brings shame to the family. But a fan fave comedy act is ok.

Edit he went to g league I think

Everybody KNEW he was going to the g league after his appearance with pops. You didn’t think so?

Because I'm so old, this is reminding me a lot of when Magic Johnson tried being coach. They started really fast and then it all fell apart and he quickly decided coaching wasn't for him. Still, we got the story of how Nick Van Exel challenged him in practice and he suited up, played with all the old guys who were still around (Worthy, AC Green?) and demolished the "New Lakers".

sweet Jesus, can we ever have a year where people don't bitch about trades?

Where exactly would Dalton play? They already have Scoot, Simons, Sharpe, Banton, Rayun and Toumani.

Is this the same Dalton who had a stretch of 5 games where he scored a *total* of 20 points? And shot 8-26 and 4-18 from 3?

Dalton and a pick for Grant and Rob in principal (I know it doesn't work on salary).

that would be a helluva overpay by the Blazers.

LeBron James Denies Son Receiving Preferential Treatment When Being Lifted Up To Dunk

LOS ANGELES—Emphasizing that he treated the 20-year-old the same as any other rookie, Lakers power forward LeBron James denied Wednesday that his son Bronny received preferential treatment when he lifted him up to dunk. “Yes, he’s my son, but in no way do I favor him when I give him the ball, help hoist him up, and then walk him to the rim so he can score,” said the four-time NBA MVP, adding that his teammates were likely just jealous that when Bronny gets put back down, everyone cheers and tells him how amazing he is at basketball. “At the end of the day, my son worked hard to get where he is, and he’s earned the right to ask Daddy for ‘uppies.’ I get that people might think it’s unfair that I lift him backwards for reverse dunks, spin him around for 360 dunks, and even hold him above the basket to block shots. But I’d do that for anyone. Just ask Anthony Davis.” James also told reporters that if his teammates did not stop bullying his son, none of them would be invited to get pizza and ice cream after their next game.

Is this the negative only Lakers thread Or what’s really going on thread?

it was ONE game. You were less excited about Donovan's big game I bet.
I think he has been playing pretty well all season. I was just sharing the latest games info in the Laker thread. I thought that’s what this thread was for. Or was it like the Billups thread where it’s just for NEGATIVE things? Let me know.

No

We should have drafted him instead of trading for Deni
Chill, dude. Check out the performances of other "old" rookies. Chris Duarte was looking like he'd trend upwards to at least a solid starter in his rookie year, but he's about to bounce out of the league. We know that Deni at least can sustain a year of high-level play in the NBA because he did it last year. And he's only a couple months older than Knecht.
