Roy just had the knees of a 50-year old when he was drafted so there was a ticking time bomb on his athleticism the moment he entered the league—that's different.

Reminds me of a Clyde quote when he was in his 40s on dunking (paraphrasing)... "I can still get up pretty much like I used to, it's the landing I can't deal with."

Roy had elite burst when he entered the league but his knee cartilage was worn and snipped away in arthroscopy surgeries done prior. While he measured a 40+ vert at the combine and he'd demonstrated advanced skills/shooting and won a lot of big games at Washington, concerns over his knees and how long his career would last are exactly why he was available for Portland to draft at #6

The court is incredible. Behold how delightfully unique it is. It’s also so ugly that perhaps other teams may be caught off guard by its hideous appearance. When weighed against our players which already know how vibrantly disgusting it is, one may deduce that the court itself helps to provide a home court advantage.

Paolo Banchero is a good player, but had mediocre efficiency as Rookie of The year, and still has mediocre efficiency with 27% 3-point shooting this season. He shot 30% on threes last season.

3-point specialist Jabari Smith Jr. shot 30.7% on threes last season, and is at 30.4% this season.

Chet looks like the real deal. He has an outrageous True Shooting % of 78%, shooting 56.5% on 3-pointers.

Looks like the Blazers got the real #2 pick, and @BonesJones and others that like Chet were right about him.
