Man I wish the rng gods were kind and we moved into the top 5. all the time 5 guys looks great . we decided to draft a made of glass unproven Shaden Sharpe. I would of rather of had Duren... you can even tell in Sharpe's interviews he looked like he had no drive to get better or play. hes probably happy he can sit out. Just venting some frustration.. hopefully I'll look back at this and cringe at what I wrote.

Made of glass?

Guess I missed out on his injury history.

We know this guy is an athletic freak, we know he has a lot of ways he can score the ball, we know that he has a very good handle for a wing and that's about it.
We also know he’s one of the best basketball players in the world. He told us so.

Game thread not working for me. Did I get blocked for posting too much?

injured 5 min into a summer league game on a minor play after not playing for a year?

that doesn't mean he's made of glass (cliche wise), it means shit happens. If he KEEPS getting injured, that's another thing.

Can a labral tear in the shoulder heal itself?

The recovery depends upon many factors, such as where the tear was located, how severe it was and how good the surgical repair was. It is believed that it takes at least four to six weeks for the labrum to reattach itself to the rim of the bone, and probably another four to six weeks to get strong.

Yea he’s fucked

Certainly for now. There is a problem because he is now going to miss much more than just summer league. This next month is when they really have to get a grasp on the team and what they do. Hopefully he can make Training camp.
The first exhibition game is Oct 4th. Training camp is a month before that. So less than 2 months before training camp at this point.
Biggest question is will he be able to play in training camp. If not you got to figure the Blazers will not see anything from Shaedon Sharp this season. He will be playing catch up all year. Maybe he can get some G league rep and start to get some feel?

Come on, brah. Love you. That was Terry’s anomaly and he should have been fired if he didn’t hand the reigns to Dame.

But he gave nothing to every other rookie he was given.
Noah Vonleh! Starting rookie PF! ....the power of playing 12 minutes a game yet starting the games....maybe they just like the sound of Noah Vonleh called out by Mark Mason?

Vonleh was never a rookie for Portland. We acquired him after his first season.

Nate wasn’t the coach when O’Neal was a rookie. Dunleavy was, I believe. Or was it PJ?
yeah...absolutely correct....I get those two eras mixed up sometimes...I should be using green font here. I still stand by the coach who coached rookie of the year as a guy who trusted his rookie with the starting lineup. There have been plenty of rookie misses over the decades but Terry got the best one of the bunch. He also got the most out of a lot of young players such as CJ, Ant, Trent Jr...he played your favorite though..(how could you forget Mr..I can't open my eyes under the rim) Meyers Leonard!

Marang saying they're waiting 10-14 days to evaluate whether he needs surgery.

I'm not expecting good news....

This has shades of the Zach Collins shoulder injury and I'm really hoping it's not like that. I'm hoping that it's minor considering Sharpe wants to play sooooo badly.

They need the time to determine whether the tear will set in a way that can heal on it's own. Same thing they did with Collins, but Collins's injury looked visibly worse.

This is more like Nas's. Dude tore his shoulder and came back into the game....

Really a bummer as he needed game reps and practice this offseason more than any player on the roster.

Is he going to be injury prone? Sure didn't seem like much contact.

Probably eliminates any ideas of trading him now for a starter.

Where would he be drafted if they redrafted today? I'd think 15-20 range.
