Maybe or maybe not, I guess we will see. I don't think Chauncey seem like the coach to give an undeserving player minutes if a different player will have superior on the court contributions.
Sure, he wont give undeserved minutes out, but the #7 pick in the draft that hasn't played in a year isn't going to sit out too many games.
I see him 12-15
We will see.

What was Dame's comment? I remember a comment, I just don't remember one being concerning.....since Dame did not know him at that point.
"I’ve been in the facility every day, just training, working on my body, doing just normal maintenance stuff. lifting, on the court. He’s been there since a little bit after the draft. We’ve played some ones from certain spots. He jumped in and played with us. So he’s super-talented, super gifted, but you’ve just got to get out there and play. You’ve got to see it in live action and put him in the mix. When you’re picked that high, you’ve just got to have that pride about going out there and showing people why, living up to being that high of a pick. I think everybody that’s been picked in that Top 10, they go out there saying, 'I’m a Top 10 pick and I need to show these people.' I’ve been there. Now he’s in that position. We’re looking forward to him coming out and showing why."

To me that's not a commentary on anything he saw that Shaedon is/was doing wrong just a call to action. All positive IMO.

There is definitely a reason he chose to instantly unfollow Sharpe the same day they met at practice facility before the official introduction presser (and the same day Dame posting photoshop image of Durant in Blazers jersey) :dunno: whether it's just tough love rookie hazing or something deeper or more grandiose...idk
HA! Man Dame follows my kids on Instagram…. They don’t realize who they do and don’t follow.

...sure they do! But also, it's even harder to 'unfollow' someone so no accidental click(s) going on here :dunno:

Yeah, that is how I interrupted it as well.

The loss of Sly would be a serious gut punch. Can we send Poker Pussy instead.

I know, Sly’s value here is deep. thats why it makes it a fair trade without tossing anyone else in the trade.
If that's not enough for Brooklyn, they can suck it.

Clearly he peeped these things about him and was saying act like you have pride on how high he was selected

Exactly. IMO you'd have to be trying pretty hard to read any kind of criticism into that statement. At the most Dame was simply stating what it takes to be successful. I presume Dame had already told Sharpe the same thing, and much more.

I value Dame’s social media follows as much as the HCP’S photography skills.

The HCP's photography skills are very good. Honestly, his photo of a woman on a bike during Covid in Japan is one of the best street photography examples I have seen. If there is something I would do to it is straighten it - that's probably all that is standing between it and being in a street photography book. It is that good.

We will see.

Does Chauncey think Darko should have got more minutes on his contending Pistons teams? I don't think so.

Giving Sharpe minutes where he fails could harm his development more than help it.

Yes we will see. I just don't see Sharpe getting more than garbage time to start the season unless he is deserving of it which seems very unlikely. Even without being a player in the regular rotation he will get practice time, watch vets, possibly garbage time minutes, see how the team gameplans, etc. Now what the Blazers do at the start of the season in October could also be very different than in February. If the Blazers are way out of the playoffs, trade Dame, have injuries, etc we could see rotations look very different.

I doubt at the start of last season people expected to see just about anyone in the game 75 Blazers rotation.

Given what HCP does for a living, he *better* have good compositional skills!

This photo is pretty amazing; like you said, the differences between his shot and a pro's comes down to a couple years of lessons and better lens choice/technique

This team isn't contending, and there isn't anyone (outside of the starting 5, GP2 and Hart) who has guaranteed anything minute wise.

Sharpe is the number one prospect in his class and a five star recruit. He has not played organize 5v5 basketball in a while but I assume he has played behind closed doors prior to the shoulder injury. He still remembers how to play basketball. Give him time to get used to the team and I won't be surprised if he's in the rotation, contributing, and getting more than garbage time post All Star break his rookie year.

Yeah I wasn’t sure how to take the comment either.

Figured it meant he valued his follows highly which others seem to do as well lol

Given the nature of the situation I’d say that the timing and structure are solid.

If you saw that at an exhibit you wouldn’t necessarily be like “what is this doing here”.

Him and Andalusian are both top notch photographers. Whether you consider them Amateur photographers or not. Professional just means you get paid for it. I respect Andalusians opinion because of their own eye for photography too.

No, I expect Sharpe to have a great rookie season and the blazers making the playoffs
I don't understand why so many on here expect a player who was the number one guy in his strong draft class to only get minutes if we suck. This dude should be a future allstar and therefore be ready to contribute at a pretty high level this season.

Have people seen this guy move? Have they seen him shoot? Have they seen him put the ball on the floor? Why in the world, on a roster that isn't even going to get HCA, would this potential superstar not get minutes even when we have a spot in the playoffs?

No, we haven't, because he got injured five minutes into his first SL game!
You just have to look at his workouts. The guy moves very smoothly and explosively at the same time. His shot is silky smooth. He also dribbles extremely well for a wing.

Wait?
Did we somehow get Banchero, Holmgren, or Smith?
Not sure we have a guy named Murray on the Blazers do we?

The Blazers drafted a guy that MIGHT be very good someday, but at this point is months behind where they were hoping he would be. He just got released to start playing again.

What is hard to understand is how some on here are expecting this kid to be anything more than 9th or 10th off the bench?

The same was said of Darko. Live, full-speed game action is the only thing that matters. Lots of guys look good in rehearsed practice settings.
