Draft scouts like Chad Ford were very high on him. “Darko was just phenomenal. It couldn’t have been more perfect in a certain way. At some point the coaches got involved and asked to see particular things. And Darko couldn’t miss and was aggressive and rose to the moment with the players watching. I was sitting next to (Dumars). I watched a few videos on DM, and it kinda sounds like there was really only one advanced scout (for the Pistons) who was high on him, and Chad Ford. And that was after a very limited exposure.

Thing is, there wasn't as much footage of Darko back 20 years ago, as there is currently of Sharpe. And the college/high school scouting game is a lot better now than the European scouting game was 20 years ago.

And the main thing I got from those videos I watched? Darko had a massively inflated sense of his talent.
