there's literally nothing in the article outside of the headline. kinda sleazy to drop this like a bomb with no substance whatsoever.
Seriously. The article lost me at, "At least one Portland employee has reported potential misconduct that sparked an investigation into Olshey..."

I'll wait until there's actually something to comment on.

I just wish everyone could be the target of a witch hunt. Most people deserve it with what they allow for. Oh, and the meaure of guilt must always be arbitrary and given to the latest hysterical whims.

Lol. I wanna hear people continue to stick up for him.

He has always been a car salesman. Good riddance if there is truth to this.

still pissed that shams gets away with this "reporting."

how do you let this shit dangle with no followups at all?

Why pissed? Shams did his job. And now even Yahoo reporting the same

this was shams' article in its entirety.

The Portland Trail Blazers and owner Jody Allen have launched an investigation into president of basketball operations and general manager Neil Olshey, The Athletic has learned. The team is hiring a firm to probe alleged workplace misconduct. At least one Portland employee has reported potential misconduct that sparked an investigation into Olshey, multiple sources said.

When contacted about the investigation on Friday night, the Trail Blazers told The Athletic: "We don't have a comment on this matter at this time." Allen also declined to comment to The Athletic on Friday night. Olshey did not respond to multiple text messages left by The Athletic. Both Allen and Olshey attended the Blazers' 110-106 win over the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

The nature of the misconduct allegations is not currently known. The Athletic will have more on this story as it develops.

the only reason it was posted was because he wanted to "be first." Haynes at least had SOME nuggets. this piece was quite useless. newsworthy for shockvalue alone and nothing else. if anything, it's clickbait. this is what qualifies as journalism these days.

It wasn't a good report, but he still told people the truth. For me nothing wrong with that. Maybe he didn't have the best source for it so he learnt as much.
Haynes did a better job, but Shams did nothing wrong. You should have been pissed if it wasn't true. Then it would be clickbait.

Saying it was useless is plain wrong. We did learn something.

As if his resume wasn’t enough to kick his ass to the curb
playoffs in 8 of 9 seasons, with a near 100% hit rate on second round picks?

i couldn't care less if he leaves because i want someone who takes more risks, but his resume isn't really as bad as people make it out to be. his most egregious mistake i've long maintained is the 17 draft. outside of that, and general sleaziness in press conferences, i haven't found any glaring mis-steps along the way.

"At least one Portland employee has reported potential misconduct..."

this is a pathetic excuse for journalism.

i don't get the fascination people have with hiring people with local ties.
With the GM I just think a local guy knows what he's getting here. Who'll be comfortable and not just be here to collect a paycheck.

At least, that's the hope.

Mainly I'd just want somebody good. If it's also a somebody local I think that's a plus. But, for sure, you don't just take a guy because he's local.

Not trading Aldridge was the big one for me. And he never recovered from that.

He needed a haymaker to make up for it and he just played it safe like he was trying to keep his job as long as possible.

Please oust Olshey. It does not even matter what Dame thinks. If the organization gets the right guy involved Dame will be just fine.

This fucking egomaniac has kept us on the treadmill for 10 years.
