I don't know if its the background colors or the blending of the text or both but it gives it this messy feel that I really don't like. It needs a little work but not bad so far.

A lot needs to be worked on. A white gradient that strong 99% of the time is not good and the text, pic effect, and background all need more work. Keep trying.
