We are talking about Joe Freeman. All the other writer, personalities are pretty inept if you ask me. He is solid. Doesn’t ever make shit up, tells it like it is. Doesn’t make the stories about him. Trust me, he’s the most respected local writer.
I know he's ok and it's a more general comment than on him in particular.
Also @RR7 I realize I responded to you by saying a non-bias doesn't exist and than basically I said it did in the same sentence. So I want to re-explain what I meant.
The bias to me is that most of these guys cheer for other teams or regions, and so while they don't care about the Blazers, Ducks, beavers, pilots, timbers, etc. It's in the best interest of their actual fandoms to make someone else better. So there non-bias in terms of if the local teams are good or not, is usually driven by wanting their own teams to be good.

I wasn't going to say his name but I listen to his podcast regulary and he dropped that bomb on air this season...really shocked me...talk about Florida football and he lights up...I always thought he was the best writer of that crowd....like I said...would have never guessed. I'd have a hard time covering a sport I didn't like myself

So he doesn't post blurry airport pics to social media?

Not much of a compliment...... that’s like saying your posts are better than Mixum and PapaG’s!
It's like saying Bono can sing better than Roseanne Barr and William Hung

I have never listened to his podcast, but don’t say he is a fan of Florida, he’d go nuts. He’s all about Florida State!

My bad....I hate football anyway so don't really pay detailed attention to the sport

I just don’t buy this everyone is out to get us mantra that lots of posters in here ascribe to when it comes to the national media. Are we ignored and under appreciated? Sure. However, we are not actively rooted against by most of the writers. There are real reasons behind the idea he will leave. That is a fact. I’m not saying it’s to the lakers or knicks or whatever stupid ass trades have been suggested by the press. But to think he’s NEVER going to want to leave is both naive and dangerous.
The national media doesn't want Dame in Portland. It's become obvious. Example: Stephen A Smith says some false crap (and we know it's a lie) about Dame possibly being traded to fucking New York or Los Angeles. It's obvious his has no legs, but it's no surprise that the two biggest markets are listed. It's obvious as hell.

I would gladly give them Dame, it would just cost them Lonzo Ball

He's a great talent and probably a better fit to our team than Dame because he's pass first and would mesh better with CJ and run the offense better

You know, a lot of the media people are right about one thing: the league isn't the same when the lakers suck. The league is BETTER when they suck (IMO). God forbid LeBron does the almighty and win a title with them. We'd NEVER hear the end of it..

i don't know how he shot the ball with the Lakers but he had a very good although akward looking 3 point shot in college
Per basketball reference 3point % 30% efg 44% ft% 45.1% fg% 36
Lillard 3% 36.1% efg 51.9% fg% 43.9 ft%49.
One was also the number 1 option was doubled a lot while the other saw the opponents worst defenders most nights because they quickly figured out he couldn’t shoot...

Let me get this straight:
You want to trade the face of the franchise, one that we may never get again that are the likes of him, for a guy you just admitted you havent seen play since college?
AND you hit Post Reply?

What?

I would hate to see Dame go, but Lonzo would be a good value in return. I like Lonzo, CJ, Nurkic almost as much as I like Dame, CJ, Nurk and maybe even more

Breaking News: Olshey traded Lillard to the Lakers for Deng, Kuzma, and Ball. Could happen guys since Olshey is an idiot.

There were only 3 rookies this year I’d even consider trading Dame for and Lonzo isn’t even close. Mitchell, Tatum and Simmons maybe depending on what else you got.
I realize this all just opinions and mine isn’t worth any more than yours, but I don’t even at all understand where you’re coming from on this. Lonzo might some day be an ok starting PG, but he’s still got a lot of work to do to even be that.
Meanwhile Dame is putting up monster numbers and dragging a pretty bad team to 49 wins and I realize he sucked in the playoffs, but Dame is still a legit nba all star. If we’re playing the let’s trade Dame game there has to be a better package out there than what the Lakers have.
