I've read studies that say shopping is something that makes people feel good, so just the act of shopping is addictive. Sometimes I just like to go into a store and walk around and look at stuff. I think it's relaxing. I really miss video stores because I used to go into Blockbuster and really look around before deciding what I was in the mood to watch. Damn Netflix and Redbox....
was in that boat, then my tiny studio apartment filled up.
ever since Amazon started charging sales tax, I dropped my shopping on there almost 70%. I haven't really spent it locally either, I just stopped buying shit.
I hate accumulating just "stuff". It just turns into clutter and is a waste of money. I typically buy when I need something, but rarely buy just because I want something.
When shopping online or in person, I tend to grab a bunch more than I need, then right before checkout I come to my senses and put back everything I don't actually need. I like shopping, but don't like having so much useless shit, especially when useless shit costs money. F that playa
