Now we have tons of cap space and a bevy of tradeable assets. The next couple years is going to be interesting. As much as I liked the guys we let go (even though Aldridge is kind of a bitch) I'm not as sad, because that team was constructed to make the playoffs and not make much noise for the foreseeable future.
I actually think letting go of Stotts and getting a guy like Thibodoux to nurture some of this talent might be a brilliant move. As much as people might roll their eyes, I think getting Vonleh, Aminu, Davis and Plumlee along with Connaughton were steps in the right direction. Davis and Aminu could become top of the line roll players, Vonleh could have star potential. Plumlee and Connaughton are nice looking young prospects.
