His team is 0-3 with him in the lineup. Shooting 6 of 20 tonight didn't help. Good stats, bad stats, he just isn't a winner.

Whatever. Kevin Love's stats just don't add up. I mean, even Adelman,a good coach, can't make this trash into a winner.
 
Is he good? Best Power Forward in the game. Bar none.
 
On a contending team he's a 2nd/3rd option. As long as their second best scorer is Pekovic, the Wolves are bound to be a 1st round and out team, if that.

If LMA had any assertiveness at all....

Kevin Love is still the best PF in the game right now.

Only because we're at a lull right now... he wouldn't even have been top five a few years ago with Duncan, KG, Dirk, etc. Love's problem is that he doesn't play any defense. He's a modern day Karl Malone. He's a great scorer, but that's as far as it goes. Would I like to have him on our team? Yes, but I think as Anthony Davis develops he will surpass Love.
 
I agree with much of what you said, and Karl Malone consensus one of the best PFs of ALL TIME.
 
There's the usual problem of inserting a high-usage player into a roster. What makes it worse is that Kirilenko plays better at PF and now will be much less effective than he was. Instead of having a good-defense, quick PF (next to your plodding center), they now the slowest front line in basketball. And Ridnour at PG. So, basically, if their defense isn't historically bad it will be an amazing coaching job.
 
Kevin Love is a ball hog. he should be traded for Anthony Davis.

Luke Ridnour and j.j barea are the worst pg in the league.

The issue with them is that the guard play outside of Shved is the worst in the league. Once Rubio comes back that team will be good and once bud comes back as an outside shooter, then and only then will you see the best team in the league.

Alot of depth needs to be added behind rubio and shved also. One more shooter who can play a little defense at the top of the key is what the doctor is calling for.

Good take, for pek to be effective he needs to get the ball in good position. Luke and j.j are the worst at that. Luke kills the offensively flow of the game. AK needs to play PF to get the most effective use out of him. slow, I'm not with you there. Pek routinely beats people down the floor with his hustle and plodding when he gets the ball he either passes or makes a power move to the basket.

Hey Derick, what do you see for shved? Seems like a good player, but I haven't watched him enough to judge.
 
One of the best PFs in the league beasting on a garbage team? Feels like Wolves fans have seen that movie before.

he can get to the hoop with out a problem. he has a broken jumpshot. Not to sure about his court vision. he's not as good as rubio as a point guard but not as bad as rubio at shooting.

he defense is alright, he's quick and pesky.

he really does look like a young manu, Probably never going to as good as him but could be close. there driving to the hoop is very similar. Right now he's to up and down. Once he fixes his jump shot he'll be alright.

he's best suited for the early season euro ball wolves offense, not this kevin love/melo ball stopping offense. he's most effective running back door cuts and such.
 
Love's stats are fool's gold. He's not the best PF in the league. Not even close.
 
If Kevin Love were a car he's be a brand new Mustang Boss. Amazing Specs/Stats but at the end of the day it's still just a Ford.
 
Defending the paint is paramount to winning hoops. Because of this, there is no way I'd consider a Big to be the best in the game if they suck at defense. Love is a stats monster for sure, but he'll need to play with a dominant shotblocker/defensive force at the 5 for his team to contend.

As much as people on here rag on Love's defense they're so quick to forget how worthless Aldridge is at defense. In fact if you look at the advance defensive statistic barometers, Love is a better defender than LMA.

Who here is claiming that Aldridge is a good defender? In fact, I think a lot of people have said the comparison to Sheed is a bad one because Sheed actually played D. I think right now there's a serious lack of great defending power forwards in the game. That might change with Anthony Davis though.

And if Love keeps up these kinds of stats he'll go down as one of the best PFs of ALL TIME. But does he play defense? No. :lol:

When Love is brought up on here it is immediately pointed out how horrible he is at defense and thats why people wouldn't want him. Nobody ever mentions Aldridge's defense, or lackthereof.

Sadly compare loves d to Aldridge, and Aldridge looks like defensive first team

Well, there's a difference between someone who plays mediocre defense, and someone who plays no defense at all.
