Hey I see you guys did some editing. I don't think I posted anything edit worthy to be honest. I have some upper co workers of mine that read this forum and I don't want it to look like I was calling anybody those names when I wasn't. They don't understand how this place works when it comes to that stuff. Thanks.

Bro you're mistaken. You've bitched and complained about everything I've posted on here since you crawled on here to S2!
I have said nothing but we lack talent and won't make the playoffs. And have been called a hater all fall. Before when we were killing teams, I got called out for being a homer and only posting positive things. This team has changed and so has my opinion of it. Like I've said before, please find where I was ever over the line.

We lack talent? We have a top 5 scorer in the league who is also top 8 in assists. We have the third best SG in the league. We have solid talent at SF in Aminu and Harkless. Plumlee/Davis is a better rotation at center than Lopez/Freeland. I mean, what the fuck??

3rd best SG in the league? Solid talent at SF?
Harden and Beal are the only SGs who score more than CJ and Harden's shooting percentages are awful. Butler is averaging less than 20 but is of course a great defender. CJ is 4th at worst. Who else do you have ahead of CJ? He shoots a great percentage, can create his shot in a myriad of ways.

I thought CJ would be better but not quite this good so props to him. However, there are a number of SG's I'd take before him. Harden and Beal aside (obvious) I'd also take Wiggins and Jimmy Butler because scoring is only part of the equation and Wiggins is 2o years old. I'd also take Klay Thompson as he is a much better defender like Butler. Still, that is pretty high up for CJ.

Matthews, the high-priced free agent who stuck to his commitment to sign with the Mavs this summer, had by far his best outing of the young season.

That's especially impressive for Matthews, who is eight months removed from tearing his left Achilles tendon and had to talk his way onto the court on the second night of a back-to-back. The Mavs' medical and coaching staff made Matthews sit the second night of the season against the Clippers despite a heated, R-rated argument from him.

There can be no doubt now about Matthews' ability to bring it on the butt end of a back-to-back. He set new season high in points (25 on 9-of-13 shooting, primarily on post-ups and 3-pointers), rebounds (six) and assists (three). Oh, and he also harassed Chris Paul all over the court, a major factor in the perennial All-Star point guard's 2-of-11 shooting troubles.

"What can you say about Matthews? He's a horse," Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said. "He's got an iron will just like Dirk."

Matthews is better than CJ.

King man, I don't know how many times I have to tell you my opinion so that it sticks with you. When I'm talking about our talent level, do you REALLY THINK I'M TALKING ABOUT DAME AND CJ!!!??
Those two are money, it's the REST of the squad. 6-12 type bench role players is all we got. Why is it so hard for you to understand that's my view?

Plumlee and Aminu are starter level players. Leonard is getting there.

There are 30 staring centers and sf in the league. I agree with you that they are both starter level....... on a 20-25 win team. Thats all I'm saying. Besides Dame and CJ, you can't be a playoff level team with those other 3 as your starters.

I do think you can afford to have one of them as a starter, but not both. If Aminu can become a lock-down defender and hit catch/shoot 3s somewhat regularly he could be a fine starter a la Tony Allen, James Posey, Bruce Bowen. Or if Plumlee becomes better at protecting the basket, and continues to work with Dame/CJ/Henderson on setting good screens that lead to high-percentage shots (either from the guard, from Plumlee rolling/dunking, or Plumlee receiving the pass and making another pass for a lay-up) then he could be a fine starter. But both Aminu and Plumlee are so limited in what they can do on the offensive end that they can't both be starters on a Playoff team.

We'll see, won't we?

Agreed. We have a roster full of fantastic roll players. Just missing a couple stars.

Is it true Stotts puts your posts on the bulletin board in the locker room to fire up the team?

Yessir! I did get busted by Brandon Roy once after Greg got hurt for the season. On here I claimed we weren't going to make the playoffs and somebody busted on me and told him. He called me out on it too!

Top to bottom, this roster has more overall talent than we've seen since the Roy days. We actually have a bench that scores 25-30 points a night. We just don't have Aldridge anymore. Losing Wes and Nic really doesn't hurt that much, at least not offensively. CJ is scoring as much, or more, than Wes ever did. Losing Aldridge hurts the most because it allows teams to double Dame.

Dear Terry Stotts...

Hello, my name is HCP. I totally believe the following:

Damian can't defend my mother.
CJ couldn't either.
Damian won't make the All Star Game this year, let alone All NBA. Ever.
This team won't win more than 15 more games this year.
Go Lakers!
Terry Stotts smells like my Uncle Gary.
There is no way that Mason Plumlee or Ed Davis will average a combined 10 boards this year.

Take it to the HCP Bank!

Thank you! And still, Dame is shooting better and scoring more.

Poor Kingspeed is never going to live this post down.

We ended last season at 22-27 including postseason. I still maintain this team is better. We're just going through a rough patch, tough part of schedule. Memphis said this was a must win and they still almost blew it. Like I said in the other thread, LOTS of teams in the West are struggling. We could win 3 in a row and go up to the 4th seed. Hang in there, Blazers fans!

Nice effort tonight but I'm getting more and more convinced Stotts isn't the coach for this team. Not that he is bad but because he is coaching so hard to win when there won't be enough wins to matter this year that he doesn't play the guys that need court time to develop or who will be here long term.

Davis - 18 minutes
Vonleh - 7 minutes

Meanwhile Kaman plays 23 minutes after not playing all season. Kaman is not a long term player here and may not last the season. Play the guys who help you long term, not ones who won't be here and only limit development of those who actually need it.

I'm hoping you meant post-season, and not pre-season.
