So NOW do you understand what I'm talking about??? We are a better team this year.

It's NOT too early. It's not a fluke. Dame gathered these guys in San Diego and they're all on the same page. Did you watch the game? Those are our Blazers. What you just saw is what we have. A damn good team. They won't randomly become a different team unless there are a slew of injuries. Will we lose games? Yes, every team does. But the team is CLEARLY faster, deeper, more athletic than last year. They play together as a team. I remember the 2013-14 season. We were killing it and people kept saying we weren't really that good. And we were. And we made the second round. MM said we were mediocre. These pretender experts like MM, Nik, and HCP really don't understand the game of basketball at ALL. 24 wins??? Please.

Yes, I watched the game. I'm re-watching it now.

I believe it is too early. One game is far too early. That is my opinion. Allow me to have it.

Too early for what? To say we're a good team? Isn't that obvious?

You need to focus that energy on fantasy hoops because I'm kickin your butt right now!
I gotta think long term with that team. I already want to make some moves but we only get 80 for the season so I'm just gonna use our matchup as a feel out match. I did do right with CJ though!! Disappointed in Wiggins and Whiteside.

It isn't.

But you obviously didn't see that I said to allow me to have my opinion. I respect yours, even if I disagree with it right now.

But, you're in that mode and mood. So I will just steer clear.
So you think we're not a good team. Interesting.

"Too early" means that I am taking time to see a larger sample size.

I have said that since the pre-season. I have not wavered.
So if it's raining, you'd prefer to see if it continues to rain all day before you'll conclude it's rain?

*sigh*

I'm done. You obviously don't understand and will not allow yourself to be objective, so I am going to stop. Please do not respond.

I'm not even going to read all the responses. However, speed has been right about one thing for sure about this team - its a false narrative that these guys can't score points. Erase that narrative and then what? It's an interesting thing to ponder. Because every thing else has improved

Except free throw shooting......haha....

I find the whole "if CJ and Lillard aren't making shots they will struggle" argument a little odd. Most teams struggle when their best players aren't scoring. That's kind of how basketball works lol.

I'm not buying the whole charles barkley philosophy of jump shooting teams not being able to win either. Stotts system gives guys good shots. A Meyers Leonard open look beyond the arc is just as good as a LaMarcus post up.

Last season, a Leonard three attempt was better than any LaMarcus shot, when adjusted for how many points you got from it.

So if it's raining, you'd prefer to see if it continues to rain all day before you'll conclude it's rain?

No, if it is raining he'll wait to see if it continues to rain all day before preparing for a flood rather than breaking out the sandbags when the first sprinkle starts - especially if the forecast does not call for flooding.

That is not to say for forecast is always right, but you DO take that into account.

I'm with Strenuus on this - happy as can be with what we saw and the victory but that is just a sprinkle. Waiting for a larger sample size to start declaring we are a potential playoff team, a contender, or just very interesting with great potential.

Gramps...

We weren't that good in 2013-14. We hit a miraculous shot to win the first round and got our ass handed to us in round 2

You forgot the pretender expert who said the Rockets were free falling, when they made the WCF...who was that tool again?

How am I in homer mode? If we sucked like in the Ha/Telfair years, I would say so and I DID. I never wanted Telfair. I also hated Abdul-Rahim. That team sucked too. And I stopped watching the Felton Blazers because they didn't care, why should I?

But THIS team is a GOOD TEAM and a lot of you are looking the other way, acting like that's not so.
be proud of your homer mode Eric...! I'm proud of mine!
