I did.

I also have a right to hold my overall judgement of the team for a larger sample size. Just as KS has a right to say we're this good after 1 game.
 
We aren't world beaters, but I think we will surprise the shit out of many people this season. It resembles the 1999 team (not in terms of talent but expectations). Many believed that 1999 team would be a lower tier playoff team with no shot at winning anything. They didn't have "enough star power" to get things done. Well, that team came out the gate strong and showed the assembly of parts as one is greater than 2 stars.
 
We all appreciate your enthusiasm and positivity KS, but this is way too early. :)
 
You go KingSpeed!! I think you're overhyping this team but I love your enthusiasm. I hope you hang onto it because we're gonna need it if we hit some real rough patches and the rest of us are grumbling. And I guarantee you, if this team wins the championship this year, I will personally pay for your airfare so you can attend the victory parade. You deserve that for your faith alone. Having said that, how you get back to NYC is on you....... :bgrin:
 
While I think KS is greatly exaggerating how good we are, I do think we're going to do a lot better than people expect.

We have youth and length. All it really takes is to play good defense and not be sloppy with the ball on offense (stupid plays, turnovers, etc.) and you can keep the game close. We do have a couple of players, at least, who can get you a basket with the game on the line and the clock running out.

Again, I think we look at lot like the .500 Bucks of last season.

Why can't people enjoy the win AND be able to keep things in perspective? It doesn't have to be black or white, all-or-nothing, the best or the worst, after every single game. I finally watched the first half from last night, that was fun. CJ looked amazing, and I love what Ed Davis brings.

This may turn out to be the most enjoyable season in a long time..no expectations, pretty much all new cast. I figure we're a 500+ ball club at this point but it's too early to over analyze the roster and we haven't seen Henderson or Alexander yet either..I think the defense and depth is an upgrade

There are expectations, though. Some expect us to suck, some expect us to be second rounders. Those are expectations. I'm holding out on mine until we have 20-30 games under our belt as a team.

Never have I said not to enjoy the win.......I am! I'm about to hop on a plane to Phoenix with 30 other people that are VERY happy. But I damn sure know Coach Stotts and Dame won't be jumping up and down about 1 god damn win over a tired injured team. Handled their business and now we move on to the next one.

I love seeing everybody freaking out about a win, but HATE seeing them jump off a bridge win we lose a game we should. Keep that shit real is what the players would say never too high or too low.

I usually wait to gloat when I'm 100% sure that I was right..... so like with Aldridge leaving, I waited until he had signed that dotted line to be a complete asshole know-it-all. It's the safest bet.
