Ok I got a big problem with our team so far. I'm not saying that this is how it's gonna be for long but as of right now I'm gonna run through the line-up..</p>

Kidd - Beast when he's in but is still a little bit used to playing with the talent on the USA team and not shooting enough</p>

Carter - We just gave this guy a huge contract and he's blowing it. It was a waste</p>

Jefferson - Doing great nothing bad to say about him he's really stepping up</p>

Collins - ABSOLUTE WASTE! HE IS SO OVERRATED ON DEFENSE IT'S RIDICULOUS I BET HE CAN'T JUMP OVER A NAPKIN</p>

Kristic - Still a little rusty and not in good shape yet. But he needs to play big inside which he's not doing</p>

Magloire - I thought he would be beastin it and starting by now but he's not impressing me at all</p>

Allen - Ok jumpshot shouldn't be getting as many minutes as he is</p>

Wright - We wasted money on Carter when we should of invested it in him. Hopefully he stays with us next year</p>

Nachbar - He's playing confident and agressive half the time but the other half he is just launching up shots</p>

Boone - WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT THERE JOSH?!</p>

Armstrong - Too many mistakes and turnovers we should have stuck with Gill (Who went #1 overall in the D-League draft)</p>

S. Williams - BEAST! I thought we would put him in while Dalembert was blocking our shots but we didn't. He needs more minutes</p>

M. Williams - HURRY UP AND GET HEALED!!</p>

Thing is, as much as Krstic needs to play more in the post, he's proven in the past that he's better playing around 15-18 feet from the basket. That's just the type of player he is. As long as he starts making those outside shots again, I'll be happy with him.</p>

6 of the next 7 games are at home. Once that stretch is done, I suspect there will be adequate data to determine how well the season is going.</p>

Mavs were 0-4 at the start of last season, losing the second game to a division rival by 31...sound familiar? If you had judged them after Game 4, you would have looked very stupid at Game 82.</p>

There have been a lot of positives, certainly more than the Bulls and the Wiz.</p>

I always hear about how good his "foot work" is.. I DON'T CARE! Well, in the offense, he's supposed to make good, solid passes and handoffs, like he usually does, and like he did last season. But the past few games he's been making sloppy passes and handoffs that mostly led to turnovers. And it sucks.</p>

Defensively, there's been quite a few plays that I've noticed(there was prolly more) where he would be in the right place in the right time, and preventing an easy layup that would have otherwise been a free +2 points for the other team, had it been most other bigs. Such as one play, a Guard beat his man (Carter?) and Collins went right up in front of him, ready to take the charge. The said Guard had to pass the ball away, and IIRC, it led to a turnover (or missed shot).</p>

Jeez. I guess that nobody will ever agree on Jason Collins.</p>

But if making handoffs and being in the right place on defense, is what we expect of a player then we're setting expectations too low. Nice qualities but they don't make for a stellar big man...by far.</p>

Look, if I'm interviewing two people and both went to good schools, have great experience and are sharp, I might go with the with the candidate who coaches soccer on weekends, donates time to a local charity or whatever...BUT I ain't gonna take those "little extras" over someone who doesn't have the core ingredients. That's putting the cart before the horse.</p>
