My wife took my kid to Minnesota for college - flew Delta because the promised an empty middle seat, made sure they had face masks + shields, the spent some time buying stuff for MN winters, got 2 hours to help the kid get into the dorms - and the kids got a Covid test when arrived, are supposed to stay quarantined there for 2 weeks and will get another one. The wife quarantined away for a week after she came back and took a Covid test (negative), waited 3 more days to ensure no symptoms and came back.

So far, so good. Covid tests are not 100% accurate, so can't be certain, but it seems fine.

Delta, SWA and Alaska right now are the airlines with the best COVID-19 policies in place.

CDC says only 6% of their own reported "COVID-19 DEATHS" are actually "deaths caused by COVID-19" and the other 94% are people who died of other causes but happened to have tested positive for the coronavirus at the time of death.

Flight was half full landed at 9:30 was checked into our hotel room at 10:15. Got upgraded to a stay well suite at Delano, I had no clue what a f****** stay well sweet was either. Apparently the water in our shower is infused with vitamin c. Plus we have some sort of fancy filter thing beyond that AC, air purifier. Oh and we ordered a town car from Presidential limousine and they picked us up in a who daddy Cadillac Escalade, it was fun.

Misinformation. All were caused by Covid. 94% had other underlying conditions, but it was covid that killed them. The other conditions make it difficult for their bodies to fight it off, and the Covid killed them.

Also Covid can cause other conditions such as pneumonia, other respiratory or heart issues that are also listed as causes of death.

I had a Stay Well Suite at the Mirage before. They had that Vitamin C shower, the wellness lights, etc. The Phillips wake up light was cool, better than the one I had at home.

Actually nursing homes in places like Nebraska have stopped reporting covid deaths to stop their businesses from dying and keep generating money....and many, many people who've died in the last 6 months were never tested at all...meaning there are probably many times more people infected than numbers reflect.

Misinformation? from Roger?

Well, that is different than what he is saying. Pretty fucked up

Sooooooo...

My trip to Vegas has turned into an unfortunate thing apparently. I've shared my overly obsessive trips to Vegas before and the deals and bargains I find. It's become kind of a thing for me. But there is also a new challenge to this year's trip and that is covid-19. Which has become more a focus then my usual bargain hunting.

But since it's been brought up I would first like to explain my mindset concerning our current pandemic. As we all know I was the first to bring the pandemic to the attention of the forum. I was also the first to not only warn everyone that this could be a serious event but to also put my money where my mouth was and purchase things like face masks and PPE.

Also I have tried to focus on ways to help this forum community and the community I live in during this pandemic. While I have only mentioned it twice at the height of the pandemic and the beginning of the lockdown I made posts in this forum and in the Portland forum of reddit asking if anyone needed help. That led to me spending hundreds of hours volunteering my time and effort that included delivering groceries, prescriptions, taking people to doctor's appointments, I set up zoom conferences for funerals, loaded and showed old people how to use delivery apps on phones and computers, and even got someone into a battered women's shelter after they had tested positive for covid. I have also helped a few privately in the forum that have had problems caused by the pandemic.

I'm not saying to get any praise, I'm merely pointing this out to show that from the beginning and throughout I have taken this pandemic seriously and have tried to help others.

It has also made me very used to properly wearing PPE and effective sanitation which is very important during this.
Shit, do you mean to say that I could have been using you as my personal chauffeur all this time. Damn, damn, damn if I had only known.

Folks railed into me for going to a movie right after testing positive for COVID. That wasn't the case, though. I probably contracted it on August 13th or 14th. I tested positive on August 20th. I quarantined until I was given the so-called clean bill of health by the state of Tennessee on August 31st. I went back and re-tested on September 1st, and was found to be positive a few days later. But, the state told me I would probably test positive for the next 3 months. They encouraged me to go enjoy the movie (yesterday), which I did. Masks, social distancing, washing of face/hands still apply.

One of my larger questions was, if I followed all the rules, was then declared COVID-free (so to speak) by the state, then what makes me any different than, say, Sly, (or anyone else) when if comes to "safely" going out, etc.? OK, the many of you might reply, "BECAUSE SLY NEVER GOT COVID, STUPID!!"

OK, I understand that response, but the fact still remains, I followed all the post-infection rules and was ruled to be OK to fly. I ain't sittin' in my home for 3 months.
I probably would have waited another 3 months but I'm probably overly cautious. You are probably safe, in my opinion and don't deserve shit thrown at you, not that I see real shit thrown your way.
But then, I'm prejudiced since I like you quite a bit.

Some folks are calling you stupid for liking me. But, what do they know.
