Fuck. That's just really sad. It would be so tragic if it were just some family trying to get from one place to another but for it to be a family that used their means to help others is a real gut punch. I hope it was quick and not too scary and I hope for the best for their extended family and friends. Just a terrible thing to hear.

This Paul vs Joshua fight is pathetic. I’m embarrassed to admit I’m watching it.
But in my defense I turned it on after the Oklahoma vs Alabama game was over. And got OKC vs Twolves on my 2nd TV.

I watched it and it was pathetic but only because Jake made it pathetic. He ran from AJ and when AJ would track him down Jake would tie him up.

The grabbing of the legs by Jake should have resulted in a warning the first time, a point taken the second time when he pulled AJ down and probably several other point deductions or a disqualification.

I'm sure I'm not telling you something you don't already know but it's illegal to make contact with a boxing opponent below the belt and that includes the legs for good reason. Those bullshit fake takedowns that Jake was doing are a good way to get tangled up and end up with one of the two guys fucking up their knee or their ankle because they don't practice taking that kind of aggressive contact.

FAFO! LOLZ!

I watched some clips of it and heard about it. Absolutely insane. That guy is crazy! It blows my mind the amount of risk, one slip up and he's dead.
He did it live on Netflix with a 10 second delay. Those curvy building ornaments looked slippery. No room for error. At one point he dangled himseft near the top hands-free. He did it with a smile, waving to fans like he was just going to Safeway. He has kids now, wealth and resume. I think he can stop doing danger things and switch to pickleball

This is a bummer for Ben Golliver, who I believe got his start here in Portland covering the Blazers etc.

Oh wow I hadn't heard that.

It is funny how people rub Golliver - but I always enjoyed listening to him. He has reasonable but informed takes without the I'm smarter than you and full of myself attitude of Danny Marang. Understands the basketball strategy but also the salary cap. Not the shit stirrer of Canzano/Jaynes/Quick just looking to invent a controversy out of nothing.

There is this greatest of all podcast or something he was doing that is ok - though it required a subscription. Maybe thats independent of his Post job.

Interested where he will end up next.
