so in 3 years a washed up lamarsha and deandre will be begging to join the 3time NBA champion blazers?Correct. We could've given him 5 years he only got 4 from Spurs. But he can be a free agent in 3 years so he should be able to sign his next contract a year earlier. DeAndre signed identical contract even though he could've added extra year.
I guess it depends upon what your definition of 'soon' is. As a Blazers fan, I waited for 9 year...

On a serious note: I won't be surprised to see Aldridge hoisting that championship trophy when it's all said and done.
Not all of us.......too bad it took us 9 years to figure it out.

He's gonna tank so the Spurs can get a C for him to play next to when Duncan retires.LASuckStick Allbitch: "Y'know this is a rebuilding year for the Spurs and y'know we are trying to get that high draft pick ans start things off right, y'know? So, don't expect too much from us too soon, y'know?"
No doubt. SA has 5 trophies for Allbitch to choose from in their trophy case. I imagine they let him hoist one as part of their recruiting pitch. But that's the ONLY way he'll ever hoist one....On a serious note: I won't be surprised to see Aldridge hoisting that championship trophy when it's all said and done.
Then that center gets micro-fracture surgeries in both knees THAT summer right after the draft. He's gonna tank so the Spurs can get a C for him to play next to when Duncan retires.
I still disagree. Yes, you're right that he never should have been a #1 option. But even as a #3 option he's severely lacking because (1) he doesn't play team defense, (2) he sets crap picks, and (3) his jumper isn't that good. He would never be able to play the role that KG played for the Celtics, or that Bosh played for the Heat. The #3 guy (and PFs in general) needs to do all the little things that make the game easier for their teammates, and LMA has never been good at doing those things.. Just think what his type of game would be like alongside Broy and Oden injury free and all stars though? No one would be able to touch him from out there. Period. He would have been the best third option and possibly part of the best three ever.
Mann prior to July 1st everybody was sweating balls that LMA wouldn't leave, me included. Now all the sudden he's this and that, he will never be this and he will never do that.
My goodness I hate the guy with a passion as well but all this negativity is so funny to hear other than Sinobas and maybe a few others nobody where was all this about LMA? lol
Let it go, LMA is going to be perfect for the Spurs. Pops makes scrubs look elite imagine what hell do with "fat boy LMA" lol I get the hurt he did us but man all this is so funny to hear

I love itA couple of comments from the spurs board from tonight's game, where he shot 4-14. Some are starting to get it, but I think most of them are still delusional because the got the "big name" free agent.
Does ALdridge even know any other play besides terrible post ups.?
Aldridge already counting the number of shots his taking. SMDH...
"I got 14 shots tonight"..Who says that? it's hard enough to stay in the game and keep track of the number of shots he takes...
Dude won't be in SA for long.

SpursTalk said:So I wont pretend to know much about LMA but I thought he was supposed to be great on offense. What seems to be the issues here? Is he a slow learner? Is he nervous? or is he kevin love 2.0 where he can flourish when he's one of the only options on offence. I'm not going all season over and stuff but he seems to not be fitting, obviously its only preseason but this is not what I expected to see from someone who is supposed to be so good on O. He's fat, slow, and a bad shooter. TBH.
I remember reading close to 290 nowHow much does he weigh? He doesn't really look that fat to me. But in the few clips I've seen of him as a spur, he does seem a bit lethargic, but I'm used to that from his days as a Blazer.
Im sure they thought they could 'fix' him. We will see. Its almost like watching a car wreck. You see it happening in slow motion, but there isnt anything you can do & you cant look away... you have to watch and see if o e of the drivers can manuver enough to avoid the wreck. It'll be fun to track them as the season goes on. The vast majority of LAs games, he shoots a high volume at a low percentage. The Spurs are used to playing very intelligent basketball. I was confused as to why they were so interested in him. Maybe they just remembered the good games he had against them. But did they do their homework, did they watch film of him?
I find that description odd also. One comparison I've heard for Aldridge is Nowitzki. Yes, both take about 55% of their shots from 10 ft and the 3pt line. However, looking at the stats:Lol spurs fans are in for a treat. Talking about how he is a, and I quote "deadly mid range shooter" haha
SpursTalk said:3 game sample sizes can be misleading, especially when they're preseason gamesI'll start to worry if he's still playing poorly come March/April. He got a decent amount of good looks near the rim tonight and just missed. Throughout his career he's been a near 70% shooter at the rim, so it's really not worth worrying about.![]()
