If I was good at Photoshop I would have put LMA's face on Stay Puft ages ago.

According to boxscore, Aldridge started at center tonight, haha. He had 9 points (4/10 shooting) and 6 rebounds in 28 minutes. I'll take Leonard and Vonleh over that garbage. Sucks to be a Spurs fan.

And he did it in front of his home crowd.

...according to Michael C. Wright (ESPN Staff Writer) he was doing it in front of no crowd after the game as well, "It's 10:38 pm local time and just about everyone has left the AT&T Center as the game has been over for almost an hour. LaMarcus Aldridge is putting in extra work after going 4-for-10 tonight. Not a bad night, but he hasn't shot particularly well this preseason."

Aldridge has legit played like shit in every single preseason game so far. It's going to be interested to see how he is greeted back in town & how he plays due to it. IE: If he gets boo'd is he going to go 1-30?

Dude is not a leader, never should have acted like one, and is smart for going to a team where he doesn't have to be one.

David West outplayed him in 10 fewer minutes for a fraction of the money...oops!

Here's the best part:

Kobe makes a salary that limits the Lakers’ ability to compete right now. They wouldn’t have had sufficient cap space to put a quality supporting cast around Aldridge. D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle andJordan Clarkson are too young to win on Aldridge’s timeline. Kobe is too old.

Kobe can do everything right – though he shoots too much – and still hinder the Lakers.

I really wouldn't be surprised to see David West take a lot of his minutes

God he hates the media. Every article I read about him there is a reference to them.. There is no way he could have survived in LA, Chicago or New York. Portland and SA are as small as it gets.

But he really has a distrust and borderline hatred for the media. Not that I totally blame him. They all have an agenda. Even John Stockton got burned in SLC around his 2nd or 3rd year and rarely spoke to the local media again.

Everywhere I look there's nothing positive to cheer for. If the Aldridge/Spurs falter, that means James Harden has beaten them. Or an LA team. Or Kevin Durant (who will always be Two Honks to me). This might be the most grim season of all time. Best case scenario is LeBron spanks them in the Finals (unlikely).

Maybe when I'm not watching Blazers games this year I'll just watch the Pelicans. Davis is a hoot.
Dude. We have a better team than last year. I could see us finishing ahead of the Spurs in the standings. Don't give up on our team.

Good god that board is atrocious. There main forum is like the OT forum here.

I love you guys. You aren't douche canoes.
I just checked out their forum. You ain't kidding. 1 page of basketball talk and 5 pages of verbally kicking each other in the nuts. And as pissy as our OT Forum can get, most, if not everyone is pretty much over it by the next day. I guess 5 trophies can jade some fans and turn them into serious asshats.........

We were worried about LA going to LA all this time, but it turns out he would have been a perfect fit in LA-LA land.

Do I think for a second that LaMarcus is going to be the guy that leads the Spurs to another NBA title? Not by a country mile. But everybody declaring his career D.O.A. in San Antonio and crowing about how awful he has looked in the preseason will probably be singing a different tune in May and June.

For one thing people are foolish to bet against Popovich finding a winning a formula with that roster. Hell even if LaMarcus' statistics are down in the regular season this year, this team will probably be a very tough out in the playoffs when it counts. Aldridge doesn't even need to be their best player to be a serious threat in the playoffs, he can probably be the Spur's "Rasheed Wallace" and I wouldn't be shocked if they made it to the WCF.
