Is a fucking double agent that you guys are still paying under the table. The dude hasnt made a relevant shot since game 1 of the season....wtf!!!!

3 decent players pretending to be an elite team. Jackson is retiring and you are Sloaned. Buss will have to drop his Sterling act and pay for some players.

1. I guess we have pretended pretty well the last 2 seasons

2. Brian Shaw is gonna be coach, he knows the system, played with Kobe, and Kobe has even said he wants him as coach if Phil actually bails

3. Buss not pay for players?!?...uh....what?

Back to the thread topic...Fucking Steve Blake! AGGGHH!!!

That's my dawg!

McMillan has established a pretty clear track record of maximizing the talents of his players. I think Blakey is still trying to figure out the Triangle. I bet he'll be great for you bastards next year.

he is a nazi

He looks like B-Rabbit after the Free World lit him up.

[PapaG]

The Blazers had a better record with Blake than with Miller at PG. :dunno:

Not to worry - your starting backcourt is young and spry and can handle 48 mpg in the playoffs, right? And that Shannon Brown - he's the picture of reliable consistency!

Blake just made a nice 3 to give you guys the lead over OKC. Thats his one play for the month.

Re: Steve Blake!
Once a Blazer, always a Blazer!

I was going to blast you on implying that the piss and purple taint would ever fade from a player etc, but you know, as a whole we welcome players that have gone on to play elsewhere. Yeah, I think you hit it on the nose.

He is not a double agent. He is exactly the same player he was when he was playing in Portland. Shows signs of consistency, gets everyone excited, then crumbles when he must make plays. This has always been why I hated him so much in Portland. And to top it off, he's always loved by the coach, so they forget how terrible of a player he truly is. I am so glad he is gone in PDX. Don't hate the guy, just his game.

Now the bastard is using virus warfare against us!!!

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles, Lakers guard Steve Blake is expected to miss some time…because of the chicken pox:

Steve Blake did not make it to shootaround on Tuesday because of an illness.

The team announced later Tuesday afternoon that Blake has chicken pox and would not play Tuesday; beyond that, he is out indefinitely.

In general, people with Chicken Pox are expected to be contagious for around four or five days after they begin experiencing symptoms, so Blake will probably be out until the playoffs. Blake has been underperforming this season, but his loss will make an already-thin Laker bench even thinner. At least we know that Blake won’t ever have to miss time with the Chicken Pox again.

they had a doc on 570am and he said that you can have chicken pox for 7-10 days before showing symptoms and are VERY contagious....A sweaty chicken pox ridden Steve Blake has been rubbing up against everybody in practice....yeah...hope everybody besides him has already had it or..... Evidently chicken pox is VERY painful if you get it as an adult. He also added that it should be 2 weeks before he can play again. Bye 1st round.

Fucking traitor

Weird that he went this late in life without having chickenpox. Good thing, for the Lakers, that Pau or Kobe had it as a kid. Although knowing Kobe, he could have a 112 degree temperature, his legs could have fallen off and blind in both eyes, and he'd still play.

and how do you know that mr smartypants!

and how do you know that mr smartypants!

For some reason, I thought I had read that they said the team was not concerned about other players catching it. When you said "hope" everybody had it, I skipped over the word 'hope'.

Steve Blake has chicken pox. The Lakers hope he's the only one who gets it.

Kobe Bryant, Andrew Bynum and Ron Artest have never had the contagious illness. It takes about two weeks for signs to show. It was not immediately clear if they have had vaccines for the illness.

The rest of the Lakers have had chicken pox. It is rare for people to get the illness if they've already had it.

Well I wish you had been right but youre not...geez, how the hell do we have so many players who havent had it yet?!?!

I had a coworker who got chicken pox well in her 30s, was out 2 weeks. Some people don't get childhood diseases. I never had mumps. I remember in 6th grade a girl in class got mumps and all the girls went to visit her, but I was not allowed as I was the only one who never had it. Of course, the ghastly measles I had made up for all, so to speak, I mean, they thought it might literally kill me. Two weeks later the vaccine was released. Never did have good timing!

how fucking great would it be if they were all out for the first round!? i would L my F-ing AO

You know Stern would delay the opening of the playoffs to wait for the infected L*kers to get healthy.

Everyone be careful not to look at any Laker boards till this chicken pox thing is over. And if you do don't come back here for 2 weeks.

I think this Chicken Pox thing is what happens when good guys, at heart, are extensively exposed to the purple and piss for a long period of time. He is signed there for 4 years - so if he is not traded soon - I am afraid for his long-term health.

I could actually see this happening. That or just give them a 1st round bye.
